I am fine with them, brings a bit of color, and sense of fun to many bland CCMC sites
The other club these are a common , and probably in my opinion, to do with the other club being family and child friendly first .
Unlike the club which tends to be elderly couples and dog friendly first0 -
Just back from a visit to a C&CC site. Yes there were a lot of flags and very colourful they were too. However, these were mainly associated with areas of tents . Earlier in the year, when when we visited 3 of other clubs sites and few tents were about, there were hardly any. As to children, there were more on the CAMC site, we also used, by my estimation.

Being a member of both clubs for a number of year ,it is obvious the CCC is more family and children friendly

Well not to me I’m afraid. Other than they clearly have a lot of room for tents, which many young families use. The tenting areas in several of the CAMC sites are a bit of an afterthought. Certainly on the friendly scale they are much slower at getting back to normal. Still no reception open and no visitors permitted. However, that said we have been very impressed with the automated charging on the morning of arrival and the speed of placement on arrival, which has normally been 15/30 minutes after 1pm.

As a radio ham I must admit I used to erect such a pole but only to support a length of wire used as a multi band aerial and with permission from the warden "as long as it was not a trip hazard and within your pitch" but a bit of a knock back when your sat in the awning at Hurn lane talking to an American on holiday in the US Virgin Isles describing the views over the bay

Just returned from a THS where a number of flags were evident. Most appeared to be "tribal" to enable groups to pitch together. There were also a number of "novelty" spinning lanterns, bats, birds etc. plus next to me a rainbow "sequential led" mast. Whilst I can understand the former, the latter items would appear to fall in the "nodding dog" and "garden gnome" category. Tacky by my estimation but then we're all different.
