Serviced pitch

I normally consult the site map to choose my preferred area of the site, for me away from the dog walk and toilet blocks, and what the orientation of the pitches are in relation to the sun (prefer evening sun on the awning side). So when looking for a pitch i've a good idea where to look for a vacant pitch.

It might be pertinent to remind members that water, like electricity is a resource that impacts on our ecological footprint. Just because we can, should we adopt a "fill your boots" attitude?

Why would you fill your boots if you are on a serviced pitch? you'd only use the water you need, unless you fill the onboard tank that needs emptying before departure with a caravan.
Surely filling an aqua roll or similar is better than soggy boots.
Would you drink the water from said boots? Or cook with it? or wash with it?

That applies to many resources , why do motor caravans when on service points need to keep their engines running?. ;do they not understand that they will not get a flat battery as no power is needed for what they need to do? ,,well apart from "the dance" to line up the waste outlet

John, presumably those MHers on SP dont have a need to visit the MHSP on the way out?
so strictly no 'dancing' (whatever you think that is...) at that venue.
anyway, well designed waste points can be the difference between easy, smooth access and making emptying a bit more difficult.
club site MHSP are gradually getting better, we dont have too much trouble these days..perhaps your campaigning did some good?
Thanks for never letting this subject drop....

I don’t. Never have, it’s antisocial as in noise / smell / fumes, apart from the environmental impact.
As to water usage CY. I am several hundred percent certain, that even on a service pitch we are using much less than if we showered and washed up in the facilities block, or had stopped at Home.
Definitely no dancing required.😂

Why are people emptying their water tanks before driving off?
