For information (in French), try this link
Gargoyle translate will probably be good enough if you need it.

So is there any update from the club on this issue, I see trucks of all nationalities coming into Newhaven port some have them some don't and come June 21 when the possible exodus across the channel may happen it would be nice to get a proper answer, my van is 3650 so according to French Law i would need them but as someone said earlier what is the difference between a 3500 and a 3650 van i could get mine downplated, and do you need them in all other EU countries or just france
come on Club help us out

Have you checked the Overseas Holiday info tab for updates? You could also try contacting the club directly as someone may not spot your forum post.

With the prospect of hopefully being able to travel to France before the end of 2021, I have been thinking how I can attach these ugly self-adhesive signs to the aluminium surfaces of my MH so that they can be removed when not required.
I have found these gripper mats but I don't know if they will successfully attach a laminated sign rather than a magnetic one or, indeed, if they would actually work at all. They are also not cheap !
Does anyone have a suggestions ?

OH said could be difficult as you have aluminium sides he has asked do you have steel doors? another idea is number plate sticky pads and if the signs are mounted on something fairly stiff and waterproof possibly a pieces of thin perspex with the sticky pads on the back of it and maybe easier to get it off. We have seen HGV's and some MH's with them on but just stuck on agree they are ugly.

Thanks for the reply, RedKite. My MH is a Dethleffs Advantage A Class, so only has one "cab" door + a hab door. They're both aluminium like the rest of the bodywork (apart from grp trims).
I have considered various sticky pads and sticky velcro but really wanted something which can be removed easily when transiting between France and other EU countries and, of course, to/from the UK.
The search continues .......

OH has been looking up information for different motoring regs on the government website as has found the stickers do not apply to motorhomes upto 3.5 tonnes but will be needed if heavier and if put in the wrong place the owner will have 12 months to put them in the right place.

I'm sorry I missed your post as I rarely look under the Parts & Accessories heading. The link that you supplied didn't help much, either, as it opens up a page showing spring assisters.
I think that your question relates to the Multicon plug. I had a Multicon system on the very first caravan that I had in the early 90's, but I was never really happy with it. It was susceptible to poor connections. To my mind it's a poor compromise.

We have a Campervan weighing under 3.5 tons. However it has been plated to 4.2. Am I correct in assuming that I do not need an angles mort sticker unless any additional load exceeds the 3.5. Tons
