Can anybody enlighten me on a rumour that under COVID-19 conditions that the maximum stay at a Certified Location has been temporarily increased to 56 days from 28 days?

For a more reliable answer, I think you'd be better speaking to a member of the club's staff  (Maddie or one of her colleagues) at East Grinstead.

If that was the case surely an announcement would have been made on here

There were dispensations made during lockdown in order to accommodate those with no home other than their LV.

As Jill said, speak to a member of staff for accurate info.

At any time who will monitor it. Certainly not the Local Authority

I did ring in, but was met with an answerphone message to say all working from home - not very helpful. I am afraid.

I suspect there is some confusion here regarding the Govt's dispensation to allow sites to operate for 56 days rather than the previous 28 days before the need to get planning permission (for commercial sites).

The dipensation refers to pop up sites. Whether this included extending the right to stay on sites to 56 days I have no idea. Some CL owners turn a blind eye to the 28 day rule anyway.

I think it is these "pop up" sites that can operate for 56 rather than 28 days. Nothing to do with CL's.

Digressing slightly, I've always puzzled over CL's allowing a 28 day tenure but club sites only 21 days. Perhaps they realise that any longer than 21 days would be prohibitively expensive for all except the most well heeled.
