Are there any decent, caravan friendly service areas on the A1 / A1(M) between the M18 and junction 47 for Knaresborough?

I seem to remember that the A1/M62 services are OK.

Both the one mentioned above Ferrybridge, at the junction with the M62 and the one at Wetherby junction 46 are OK. Ferrybridge has only a few dedicated places but there is normally plenty of space at the bottom of the car park. Wetherby has more, but is often very busy and spaces can be difficult to find. Would be well positioned if running early for check in though.

If using Wetherby be careful of the roundabout coming off the A1. It's a disgrace. It's so bad there are potholes in the potholes and it has been like this for some time.

We occasionally use Wetherby services for a toilet break {using on board toilet} and I can say it is caravan friendly as there is usually an attendant on duty, to stop other motorists using the caravan spaces, you can drive into the spaces and drive out again. I pulled in one day and was asked if I was OK reversing, when I said yes I was told told reverse into a coach parking bay, which are in the same area. Another time when it was very busy, I was told to drive round again, and there would be a space when I returned, Very well organised when busy.

The holes at Wetherby services roundabout have been filled albeit temporarily.

The services are excellent and also note that the filling station has LPG as well so can refil if you have a refillable system
