I dont own a motor home i own a Coachman twin axle caravan , the only advise i can give you is that this type of leisure activity is not for you, my advise would be to sell up and go back to your 4 star holidays abroad ( eventualy ).

I still think that the very best reason for having a motorhome or caravan is the oldest reason :--  The kids can't move back in if they don't know where "home" is  innocent

Apart from the leak in the tank and the aircon this is just general maintenance and the levelling up is for your own convenience.

For the batteries get a solar panel and battery master fitted and you will not need to worry again.

MH or Caravan are different to a package holiday in as much as you are on holiday as soon as you drive off, you do not have to spend 3 hours sitting in an airport, you go where and when you want, eat where and when you want and you have 5* accommodation all the time.

Maybe you you are not a MH person but give it a chance and the freedom you an have (especially over there) and yo will never look back.

Autosleeper on a Peugeot Boxer chassis.  First registered 2012 but from the accompanying documentation, was not put on the road until about 9 months later.

Battery now tested after 3 weeks storage and an acceptable level of charge so starting issue does not seem to be battery related.

What made me wonder of the age .was your comment about the the backing of the carpet breaking up  as in my experience I would have thought that was not made of a fire retardent  material? Which I would not have been fitted to a model of that year now you have confirmed

Auto sleeper have normally always been well made

As others have said do not give up and if it is build problems rather than 9 years of use  keep on pressure on the dealer you bought it from to get it rectified before you warranty period expires, and list what is wrong as at the time you bought it

Do not give up on your use of sites around, as the "problems" that are posted are a tiny proportion of what is normally a great time to be had on the thousands of sites and CLs in the UK
