As some of you may have seen, you can get £22 discount on the Tyre Pal pressure monitors.

We have been thinking of getting a monitor and have read all the adverts and reviews.

We are none the wiser and wondered if anyone has actually bought a monitor and what their opinion is.

Carole, I think that this topic has been covered but in the Parts and Accessories thread and this will probably elicit more replies there than here in General Chat so if any Moderator is looking in could they move Carole's topic to that section.

I'm replying so that Carole might know what has happened to her thread if it "disappears" and where to find it.smile

ps I don't have one so can't offer an opinion of them.

I bought a TC215 tyre pal some 5 years ago, to monitor our tow car and caravan. It worked well in relation to signal / display, but the 6 original sensors were unreliable, one failed under warranty and was replaced foc, four of the other 6 within two years at my expense. I almost gave up on it, but bought some new sensors at a significant discount at one of the shows. These were of a different design and I have had no problems, other than normal battery replacement. I now use it on our MH, so have two spare sensors in case of future issues. I really like the reassurance it gives. A slow puncture would be easily spotted and give you time to react and pull in somewhere safe.

I used a TyrePal system on my previous motorhome. Very easy to monitor tyre pressures. Not used it on the new motorhome as it already has TPMS system which as I once discovered is quite sensitive so felt it would have been a bit belt and braces to use both.
