Hello!
We are a family of 4 with 2 young daughters and we have recently brought an Elddis Avante 586 van after lots of research on the best layout etc for us!

After using the van a few times we are now wanting to purchase an awning. But where to start?!
We want one big enough to have a table & chair in to eat in & store the bbq, kids scooters etc
The dealerships don’t have many on display,

Air or traditional? (we really need something easy to put up!) second hand or new?!

So I would love to see photos/comments on the selection of awnings others have brought for their Elddis Avante 586!

Many Thanks!

The Davidson’s X

This has been discussed many times on this forum, just scroll down and they will appear!  It really is for you to decide.  Budget? Poled or Air Awning? Full or Canopy? and so on.  You will see from my Pic (caravan not an Elddis but a Bailey) that we have a Kampa poled awning 3.9m wide; there are only the two of us so you may want a bigger awning.  We have had it for 5 yrs and it is as good as new.  Poled so no risk of deflation, lighter and cheaper than air awning and quite easy to put up.  We have had in the past a full sized awning but as the years caught up with us found it a pain putting up so moved to the Kampa.  Next time you are on a site wonder round looking at the various types and chat to the owners.  Spend some time browsing through Google and EBay to see the many available and the best of luck!laughing

Hi! I’ve just come across your post as we bought an Elddis Avante 586 today and was wondering what you ended up getting with regards to your awning!

We have a toddler so will also have bikes etc that would need storing outside of the caravan!

Any help would be appreciated! :) x
