Can anybody who has sailed on Galicia give an idea of the quality of the three course dinner included in the cost?

    I haven’t been on that ship and cannot comment on the quality of the meals, but I read a report from someone who had been on the maiden voyage and mentioned the arrangements for the evening dinner - which is included in the ticket price for everyone on that particular ship.

    Passengers were not able to choose when they could go to the restaurant for dinner but were allocated a time slot at check in, and then found themselves in a long queue at the restaurant door waiting to be allowed in at their authorised time.

    I think that would irritate me !

    Worth checking out BF enthusiasts website. Some feedback on there from people who have travelled on the Galicia ferry.

    We’re booked for their Santander crossing for next May, rescheduled from this  May....and May 2020....fingers crossed, yet again.

    More information will certainly be useful.

    I am reading that Galicia is licensed for 1680 passengers but the restaurant has only 140 seats - so the all inclusive dinner is served in repeated 45 minute time slots (which isn’t leisurely) and that in the summer season the overflow of passengers will be diverted to the tapas bar and meals will be served there.

    Lacking information I may have misunderstood, but it sounds very, very different from the stylish restaurant arrangements on Pont Aven, their other ferry to sailing to Santander.

    Brittany Ferries’ next E Flexer, Salamanca, is due to run on the Bilbao route from Spring 2022. Looks very similar to the Galicia. Very Stena.

    We were lucky to get an early restaurant booking but as we left the queue was horrendous. Menu is limited but what we had was ok. 
    Big however … for the calmest crossing we have had, the vibration and noise in our commodore cabin was terrible.
