EU Pet Passport

1. I believe that you can travel with your pet using an EU Pet Passport or one issued in Northern Ireland.

2. Vets in the EU can transpose the details from your old UK Passport to a EU one.

3. If you are a frequent traveller it would be best to just get an EU Pet Passport.

If this is all wrong please let me know, or if this has all been discussed before, will someone point me to the discussion.  Thanks

DJG, i can't find news from anyone who has tried it yet since Brexit, but if you are going to Northern Ireland or the EU it would be worthwhile approaching one of their vets to see if they will issue a pet passport for your dog- but it's possible they might ask if you have an address over there. Please let us know how you get on.

Even if you manage to get a passport while you are there please bear in mind that when you return home a GB vet will not be able to add details of rabies vaccinations updates in a passport issued outside GB.

    I hope this helps.
