Collected our caravan yesterday and went straight to Gowerton site, easy check in, very helpful people. Beautiful peaceful site. A few newbie touring hiccups like panicking because no main electric was coming into the van , scratched our heads for most of the day. Until friendly fellow caravanners showed us that we hadn’t turned the plug !!!! 😂😂😂 ah well onwards and upwards xxx

    You're not the first & I doubt you'll be the last  .... 😉 That type of plug/socket arrangement is being phased out.

    If I had a pound for every newcomer I showed that to over the years I'd be able to afford a new van! laughing

    All part of the rich pageant of setting out on a new adventure. But that's the thing about caravanning - there will always be friendly folk around to ask for help.

    Gowerton is indeed a lovely site - don't know how familiar you are with the area but be sure to visit 3 Cliffs Bay and Rhossili while you're there - magnificent scenery. smile

    Glad it got sorted, yes one of the good things about about using club is that everyone is quite happy to help with any problems. When I first started it was help given to me, and quite a lot of silly and embarrassing mistakes  I can assure you (like trying to fill the hot water tank with the drain vale open till someone passing by helped out) and now I'm returning the favour.

    Also the wardens have to be members themselves with  a lot of experience and will be glad to help too.

    We collect our first van tomorrow and are very excited but a little nervous. I'm sure we will have quite a few comedy moments but hopefully will get to grips with it all!!
