Toilet Block opening after 12 April
I have just been reading the text of the new Coronovirus legislation passed by Parliament on 22 March.
Schedule 2 relates to arrangements in Stage 2 i.e on and after 12 April.
Paragraph 12 relates to holiday accommodation, and sub paragraph 5 relates specifically to caravan sites.
This is what it says: " Holiday Accommodation referred to in subparagraph 1 may continue to be provided a) in a campsite or caravan park, provided the only shared facilities used by guests at the campsite or caravan park are washing facilities, toilets, water points, and waste disposal points...
So the LAW clearly states that toilet blocks can be open.
I hope CMHC management have read this!!

I read that as laundry and pot washing, loos and hand basins, water taps, Elsan point and bins. So no showers or sink cubicles. Dream on......

Somebody said (was it on here?) that facility blocks could open but only with an extremely onerous cleaning regime. If that's correct, it could explain why operators are choosing not to open them.

Indoor swimming pools and Gyms can open in England from April 12th; now surely they have shared facilities, including toilets and showers so why can Caravan sites and CL'S that have strict cleaning regimes not be open as well?
We are booked on a CL in England from April 21st, they required a deposit when I booked, which is quite acceptable to me, but I have just been informed from them that they are not opening their toilet and shower, even though they are on site to clean it. There is no reduction in their nightly fees though!! I can understand this because of their loss in revenue from 2020 but even a reduction of £1 a night would be something in lieu of closed facilities.

Well spotted, Brue. Tbh, I thought we were in the other thread. It gets really confusing and repetitive when people do that.
Jamsdad, please can we have a link. I have searched and searched and cannot find the document to which you refer and it seems I’m not alone.
