Come the 27th I think I shall put a picture of a Leek and a Daffodil in the MH window, head south west and try to sneak into Wales laughing.  Yaki Da smile.

Yes, I'm aware of the details, the same as England. Just wondering if there'll be a similar statement for English sites. The whole thread has been about this subject.

Hope you enjoy your break if everything goes to plan.

Does anyone not think that the CAMC are making themselves out to look like fools, with their reluctance to accept the inevitability of closed facilities.

£60 would get you a half way compromise for those not keen on using facilities onboard.....£40 for a porta potti, £15 for a pop up toilet tent, and £5 for a luxury wash bowl for a strip wash. We saw lots of folks using toilet tents while away last year......... 👍

Just spoken to a  private site to change a booking..  They ARE allowed to open the blocks...BUT the cleaning routine is so onerous it is impossible to correctly observe it so they have kept them shu

Broadband went....seems the golf clubs don’t have such an onerous cleaning regime for their showers and changing rooms so they can open....presume the governments thinking is golfers are more hygienic than campers

Interestingly the C&CC are now saying that arrivals on the 12th may find facilities closed and need to be self sufficient. At least this gives an indication for anyone planning an early visit to a site that they need to be prepared and gives time to get equipped if they don't have sufficient onboard facilities.

I had an e mail from the C&CC this morning, officially stating that at present (unless anything changes) that facility blocks will be unavailable between the opening date April 12th up until May16th. Giving people time to change their bookings if needed.

Stay local rule in Wales to be lifted tomorrow. Self catering opening etc. Dont  know if club sites will open, BEWARE ONLY TRAVEL WITHIN WALES ALLOWED, no entry from England until your own lockdown expires. At least we are free. See a static site in Pembroke is expecting 600 visitors tomorrow!!

Has the rules changed ( I cannot find anything). A local campsite to us has put on there facebook page that they are opening on the 12th April with there facilities opening as well : toilets showers wash facilities. When I questioned this they said they had an email from the Local Authority with an updated document from Public Health England which highlighted the rules about shared facilities ?

Either their facilities meet the current directive or they have misunderstood. I think as far as facilities go most CEPs and fresh and waste points are okay.

Toilets are open in very large public parks, and in town centres, so it doesn't make sense why amenity blocks cant open on April 12th. In addition to staff cleaning and fogging toilets and showers, I ve always re-wiped/sprayed surfaces before showering and using the loo. I've also not heard of any sites that closed between lockdown periods and track and trace was in place on club sites.

Does anyone know if the club site and other site owners are lobbying the government over this decision?

People tend not to shower, shave, clean their teeth etc in public toilet blocks in parks and towns, HT11. I think that's the main difference.

Here's what the C&CC are saying about sites opening up >LINK < regarding facility blocks. I think it will be better when CAMC upgrades their information and includes this same possibility.

If I knew the answer to that I'd be a decision maker rather than a CAMC member playing on a forum🙂

It is "shared facilities" that is what is not allowed ,and on club sites they are open 24hrs  instead of a few hours as in pubs ,so a satisfactory cleaning regime would not be available
