If it implied otherwise we would not be having this discussion at all. It's abundantly clear,  that is what has caused the hope, desperation for some, to seek clarification/change/u-turn, call it what you like but it really is absolutely clear.  Can't see this government capitulating now!

Can't see this government capitulating now!

And quite rightly so, in my view. I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants to see the facilities opened at the earliest opportunity, but we now need to hang in there, I think. I had my jab in January, so statistically, I feel relatively covered, but as we’ve already seen, it can soon go pear-shaped. For my part, I won’t be venturing out until after I’ve had my second jab, in May.

if the planned opening is on the 12 april we will all be using shared factilies as we all have to collect water empty waste and toilet. Could  this is what the club are possible waiting on clarification on and does this make the touring caravan and motorhome not a self contained holiday accommodation

    The actual statement is:

Self-contained accommodation such as campsites and holiday lets, where indoor facilities are not shared with other households, can also reopen.

Are water, and waste points indoors?

If indoors with multiple household sharing then they won't meet the stipulated criteria. CEPs and water points are predominantly out in the open with easy social distancing control. It's the showers and toilets that are shared indoor spaces and clearly don't meet the requirements as written.

Spot on, and the fact that they are in the fresh air makes a big difference to the ability of the virus to spread.

If you look at the following figures for the UK, it is clear to most people why the Government, will not be taking any chances when we are almost there.

    4 March - 16 Aug         2109 cases/day       259 deaths/day

    17Aug -     07 Dec      12,709 cases/day     180/deaths/day

    8 Dec -     17 March     25308 cases/day     639/deaths/day

I think also  some don't like the chores involved and perhaps they inflict this on the other occupants so that all have to have to use the facilities?

Both clubs are delaying this announcement so it's not just CAMC.

sometimes they are, I can think of a few sites where the water and waste points are in a enclosed room indoors.

also some sites have their chemical toilet emptying point indoors too.

CY why do you use such strong emotive words?

Last time it was an aversion now it is being terrified of having to use their own toilet .

Why not just accept that some simply do not want to use their own facilities and prefer using site facilities and leave it as that? Rather than label such people as being terrified - to feel extreme fear?

More of an issue for some might be the washing up. We decided years ago to use the vans, after we stopped on a site where it was a very long way to carry them. However, they always seem very popular when I use them for our safari chef. Only used it once last September, as I didn’t fancy using them. Nobody seemed to take any notice of the only one family group signs.

I have asked the club and there is no confirmation that the facilities won't be open in April ...

We are seeing a rise in cases in our area at the moment. I hope the club will err on the side of caution regarding any indoor shared facilities.

The Club are only concerned about the bottom line. Don't worry I'm sure Boris will act like the responsible parent and guide the toddler with no sense.

Then unless the door can be fixed open and only one person use it at a time I would expect them to be locked off.  That would be the sensible thing to do.

Now how about some examples of the sites you can think of.

Sorry am i being a bit dim, but if you lock the CDP and waste water disposal room, and facilities are also closed then surely you have to close the site winkunless you are going to chuck it over the hedge yell

Most also have some outside ones as well. Clumber and Cirencester have inside CDP on the block, as well as others around the site. If you closed those on the block though, the others might be a bit overstretched on a full site.

I quite like water, waste and especially CDP inside or under cover, especially when it's raining. Time does seem to slow down when standing about waiting to fill or empty whatever on a rainy windy day.

tks, do not use club sites generally and most commercial sites i use have the CDP in a toilet type room with hand wash facilities etc, but nothing out in the open laughing

and usually its one at a time. I hardly ever use the facilities even when they are available so it is no hardship when they all closed or there aren't any.

Exactly, “you don’t think it can be clearer” which means that’s your layman’s interpretation. This is why we need the club to get an official clarification so we don’t have personal interpretation clouding the facts.
