Sunshades again
Thank you moderator for the information regarding the club's ruling about non awning pitches. Nowhere could I find this information, it may be just me, but could this information be included in the pitch description on the website.

hello (happy?) wanderers
Here they are: https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/uk-sites/club-sites/club-site-rules/
I think it is under section 6

It's interesting that it refers just to wind out canopies with no mention of motorhomes. Therefore, I assume wind outs mounted on caravans could also be deployed subject to the same spacing requirements.

anytime.

There's lots of info in the site rules, and others, once you dig them out via the site map.

I think you are right. I suppose MHs, unless they have a car travelling with them, will use the space where a tow car would go?

I guess so. It'll all depend on the individual pitch size and spacing.
Somebody asked on here a while back about using a caravan wind out canopy on a non-awning pitch. I can't remember if any official reply was forthcoming from the club.

The information I posted was sent in an email some time ago but is also on Page 639 of the Sites Directory and Handbook.

We have had confirmation that it is the firebreaks which determine the use of the pitch space. So no reason not to let this on a non awning pitch as it will take up less room across pitch than a twin axel caravan or motorhome, probably n length too. Also, if no firebreaks are compromised trailer tents to should be allowed. Is that right, it is the firebreaks that are important, if wrong it would be near imposible to have a logical reason why not?
