Whilst many of us are champing at the bit to get on our travels again, I've utilised the time to finally get around to completing my account of my last trip to Europe in my previous motorhome. If any of you are stir crazy enough, then you can get a half hour virtual fix HERE.

Really enjoyed that CY after finishing my breakfast on a lovely sunny morning here in the LOT, off for a picnic later.

    Hi David,

"It started with the mention of a quick cup of tea on arrival, then the savings that could be made not having to pay for sites, the speed of travel...........

but all of them were deceived"!!!

Apologies to Lord Of The Rings!

Thanks CY, it has definitely whetted my appetite for that area and for the motorhoming life.

A quick couple of questions regarding your bikes and how they fit in the MH - are they electric folders and do they go in through the rear hatch?

Hi CY, What a coincidence-that bloke Tony looks just like you!

Th reaction of the van with the small trailer reminded me of the response of drivers in side roads on seeing a car & caravan approaching!!

Nice to see Bien Assise our last stop  on a three week Eurocamp holiday back in 1990.
It was 21st June, the longest day, and it was still very light at 11pm and sleep was difficult as they were harvesting peas in the fields around the site.

This holiday convinced us to get a caravan and, despite real enjoying your video, won’t be moving to a MH!.

Thank you. A nice brighten to a raining morning.

I thought the swans were amazing, I've never seen that behaviour before - right place right time.

In answer to MikeyA, yes the bikes, a pair of Carrera Crosscity folders fitted through the rear hatch into the Majestic 125. Although they went in the van as supplied, the lack of thought in the design meant the bed frame blocked off about 3" of the hatch opening. I modified this by raising the bed frame on blocks which also created a narrow stowage shelf each side. Now I have the Carthago, they can just go straight in without folding.

That was great CY...  Thanks for sharing.  Although I don't think we have stayed at any of the sites on your travels, it brought back memories of the area.  The last time we went across was 2016 and we had a stop in the Black Forest area then - we stayed at Staufen (just S of Freiburg).  Years ago we bought our cuckoo clock from Titisee.  It hasn't worked for a few years now, but we got it fixed this year.

Since my video appears to have been quite well received, other video clips are available, although not all related specifically to motorhoming most are travel related, from my YouTube channel

We've got one from the Black Forest, as an anniversary present to ourselves...I only wind it up for visitors and grandchildren, it's very pretty but you can only take so much of "edelweiss" and "I love to go a wandering" which are the alternate tunes played when the little wooden dancers come out, not to mention the cuckoo. wink (Also one of our grandchildren liked removing the weights and hiding them!)

I did watch those too after I'd finished the Black Forest - managed to prolong my breakfast before starting chores. Interesting too. Thanks

Hi CY, Notice that you appear to be using a NextBase camera and I bought one quite recently.

May be an idea for me to start playing to see how to find footage, edit etc, before those exotic trips we are all thinking about, and wondering what you do editing wise?

Generally, I reformat the memory card each after I save the day's clips to the MacBook. I then delete those I don't want and import the remainder into "iMovie", snipping as appropriate, adding captions and any soundtrack.
