Dog Friendly Beaches
Hello
Can anyone give advice on dog friendly beaches in the area around Cambrils down as far as Benicasim? We shall have spent time inland in France and would prefer the coast. However if these places are too busy we shall look a inland. This would be (hopefully) for the month of June.
Thank you.

I know you are looking at June and hopefully even in Spain things may be returning to some form of normality, but last year beaches in Spain were either closed , and i mean closed, Gendarme at entrances, or severly restricted re numbers of people allowed on them so that social distancing was possible and dogs did not figure in the equation, my daughter lives in Spain and has 2 dogs, she lives in the Torrevieja area, as of today she cannot travel more than 5 miles from her apartment
P.S. take a special note of this, very prevelant in Spain but little heard of in the Uk, but it is a killer
If travelling to Spain over the summer, don’t also forget to protect your dog from Leishmaniasis

Hi
Thought the restrictions for the Torrevieja hospital area were only for the weekends between Friday 3pm till Monday 6am on towns bigger then 50,000 other then that you can move about as usual but with no bars open it is a bit boring at the moment.
This goes on till the 15 February under Valencia govt restrictions but the initial Spanish govt restriction goes till May so any trip in June may still have these restrictions in force, under these restrictions we can still go away for the weekend but only in the Valencian region.

Think Spanish rules are a bit like the UK some are hard and fast, some advisory etc, but daughter who lives in Villa Martin told me yesterday that she had tried to go to San Miguel which is only 5-10 miles away to do some shopping and was turned back at a Guardia road block and told she was not allowed.
She now has an official letter from the school were she teaches to say that she is allowed to travel on school business.
P.S. i think she is still able to walk the dogs at maybe La Zenia and a Campo that is close by

Hi
I live about five miles the other side of San Miguel and it is one of the towns named as being in lockdown each weekend there are 15 in total, but in the week it is fine to travel, we had a few days away at Villajoysa last week at camping Torres but was stopped entering Benidorm at the weekend.

My daughter has lived in Villamartin for over 10 years now, she teaches at an international school close by, when i spoke to her yesterday she said she could not keep up with the restrictions, she tried to buy a new pepper mill on Saturday, in a food shop, but was told it was a non essential item and as the Gardia were parked outside, she did not push the issue, she has been stopped late at night by the Gardia walking the dogs before bed, but she picniced on the beach yesterday after school and although the Gardia were on patrol she said they were ok, and of course this time of year most if not all the beaches are dog friendly. Enjoy the sunshine 25 yesterday,
