Looks nice, but a bit confusing as it is showing site fees from £15 pn whereas a reviewer has quoted £20!!undecided

Seeing as it is a newish site one can't blame the price being out of date. Can only assume that either a discount is applied for just one visitor or electric is extra. Would be surprised if it is £15 pn bearing in mind the location.

Looks like it ticks my boxes. I’ll try to bear it in mind when we get back to something like normal.

It does say on the club's CL web site that the price is from 1:7:2020, and a discount to £100 for a week. There's no indication that EHU is extra.

I took it that electric was included in the price. The ‘from’ rate is possibly out of date, or applies in low season?

What's so special about the location that justifies £20 for what appears to be a fairly bog-standard EHU enabled CL? I'd have thought £15 would be the going rate.

Think of it as being like YRP in terms of its location CY. Close to a very popular place (in CL terms, London). If you own an outfit, it can make somewhere interesting relatively cheap to visit for a few days, but for someone like me, a nicer, quieter place to stay than the nearest Club Site. Has the added bonus (for me) of horses as well.

We would consider it for Windsor area, access for a couple of days into London itself, and it’s the right side of the City to re visit Hampton Court.

Some will certainly visit it, those that must use the most expensive sites for exclusivity, and those where they are so affluent that money has no meaning to them.

Neither its location nor anything in the immediate vicinity suggests a USP to warrant such a price. As they say in the Den "I'm out"

Looking at the photos of Knightingales at £30 per night it doesn't look as 'exclusive' as some we have been to at less than £20 per night. It has obviously been in existence as a caravan site if not a CL for some time as the photos show the place full and with children playing in front of the caravans in bright summer sunshine. Google Earth doesn't show it to be £30 per night's worth either, in my opinion.

We have stayed at CL's that cost from £9.(Lincolnshire), owner said that £9 covered their costs and see no reason to increase...they even let you walk into their garden to use wifi.

Over £15 and I try to find somewhere else, I will pay only if nothing else is suitable.

CL's are always our first choice.

I stayed overnight at one, a few years ago, that charged £9. I thought why not round it to £10 and save the faff.

    £30 for a CL?    😮

Looks quite pleasant, but I cannot remember ever having paid that much even for a Club site.   Must be "Home Counties" pricing!

We stayed here and really enjoyed the area if you like nothing around. Very basic and very muddy !! Water and waste is quite a walk but didn't bother us. The price was £15 per night with electric,  then one day it went to £25 . For that reason we wouldn't return . Shame !

Have you been on a club site lately? Even 'up north' its £30 minimum for 2 adults in April! Thats assuming you can get on this year.

That's rather insulting, low!! What difference should a region of the country have in determining the cost of a pitch on a club site of comparable facilities? Guess you must be one of those "saffeners" whose migrated to the glorious north but still think we're a lower/cheaper class than those down there !😁

Not to worry Nellie, apparently the pandemic is leading to a mass migration out of the big smoke. Sheffield is in the top 5 relocation choices. All of a sudden a walk in Peak District looks nicer than being in London with all its attractions. Our new neighbours, yet to move in, are coming up from Surrey.

Twenty years is a very long time AD, Sheffield is completely different nowadays, certainly the city centre. It has very good transport links as well, has the Supertram and Tram Train that links out to some of the suburbs and local towns. Areas to the west are (as you know) on edge of Peak District, Derbyshire Dales, so people looking for big houses with gardens, close to nice countryside are very keen. I think it’s folks who still like an element of city life (good theatres, varied shops, Meadowhell, transport links....) that are interested. Sell somewhere in South East, and it will get you a lot more up here. Our niece still owns her two bed, postage stamp sized garden detached in Ashford, but lives in a huge five bedroom, quarter acre detached up here. She gets more in rent for the Ashford property than what her mortgage costs her! Mind she is an estate agent, so knows her way around properties.

Nellie - I was born and have lived in Yorkshire all my life as a matter of fact - my 'up north' comment was a response to 'Home Counties' pricing posted by KjellNN, and no insult was intended.

Whereas you appear to be quite happy to insult ''saffeners''

I had no intentions of insulting anyone. Your post was the one that appeared to differentiate between regions.
