The plastic one we get from ACSI is an ID card / Camping Carnet. Ours actually renews in July and is valid for 12 months. Costs bout 5€ a year, but gets you a 1€ discount on guide and App. It is just for ID / insurance purposes. It doesn't get you a discount and actually says that on it. You also need to show the card one from the front cover of the guide (part 2)

Hi David, Many thanks for that and looks like its worth getting the 2021 guide.

Re eurors comment about the Dutch, we have Dutch friends who do not use ACSI as they do not wish to be on sites seemingly populated by lots of other Dutch people!

It used to be the same with Camping Cheques yet despite their, and ACSI cards popularity it is still common to meet Brits, and others, who have no knowledge of them or the benefits to be had.

Maybe the Dutch are a it more canny and my friend did tell me many years ago that 'korting' and 'uitverkoop' were what to look for when out shopping-they are 'discount and 'sale'!!

That is the one I was referring to and I think  the one CY was inquiring about.

I did point out that the one that comes with the books is the discount one.

Do not know if this might apply to anyone else? This morning I noticed a charge on my credit card from ACSI for about the amount of the books / card. The renewal email said the payment would be taken in December.  I checked back and nothing had been taken, either then or since. I had not noticed. So all is well. Perhaps they are a bit behind due to covid.
