Sorry can't help but from the web it looks OK although I suspect we would be inclined to head for the coast as its so near. There are three reviews on UKCampsites if that is any help.

Jamsdad, I don't think you will get many replies on that one, but we came close!
A son with two children under eight was in a static caravan at Domaine de Massereau (a mile or two out of Sommieres ) and because €18 with an ACSI card wouldn't break the bank we went to meet them there. That site is appealing with many very good features, but I didn't think it quite deserved its five star status. It's still in a natural state, not manicured, and some of the pitches are lumpy and bumpy between trees. We liked the informality, but their full prices are high, though if you are in the ACSI period you might do worse than go there.
Sommieres town is a fascinating historic place - and less infested with tourists than St Remy de Provence , which is a town you and I know well. We only looked at Camping Garanel from the gate - it's at the far end of a car park and looked old fashioned and unattractive, but it may of course have been privatised and smartened up since we were there. I have looked for reviews of the site for you but they are scarce. There are some scary photos on line of the one week every year when the river goes wild, but luckily we weren't there then.
Sommieres isn't the best of locations to visit the sea, but as that bit of coast isn't our favourite we didn't bother. Nimes, however, is a wonderful city and only half an hour's drive away. We love wandering, eating and drinking in Nimes.
I hope others can tell you more.

We've stayed on that site, late September 2016, for 3 nights. We had a MH then, but didn't want to stay on the Aire. The site was fine, it has a pool, but it was closed. The people who ran the site then were very friendly; toilet facilities were fine, very clean, 2 small blocks, both open. Not many pitches occupied at the time of our visit. We thought the site was absolutely fine. Cant' remember any car park noise at the time of our stay, and can't say we thought it was drab or depressing. Maybe it was better when we stayed there and has gone downhill since?
Cycled every day from there, the cyclepath goes past the other site, Domaine de Massereau. Now we didn't like the look of that and were pleased to be on the Municipal! Just goes to show how different we all are.

Yes, weather can affect one's view of a site. It wasn't any better or worse than most municipals at the time of our visit; we've stayed on worse, and we've stayed on better. Certainly wasn't a case of one to avoid in the future, and if in the area again, would stay there again. Unless of course it's gone downhill
Let's hope we can actually get "over there" again like we, and lots of others normally do, in May/June.
