You were only allowed to spend a maximum of £2000 on the vouchers so the maximum you could lose is £2000 + a bit of interest you may have got from investing it elsewhere. Still a more certain bet of winning than putting it on the horses. Hopefully the CAMH club wont fall at the last hurdle.

with the latest lockdown most of the seasonal sites have already closed ,so if the club have recovered some of the losses incured with the last time site were ordered to close ,then it will not be such a hit as earlier ,so i would expect the incetive for quite a few, would beto see this and the ccc to come through, in hopefully ,a poorer but not easy pickings for the vultures that wiil be looking

With this latest lockdown, and possibly more next year, does anyone think that the club will extend the life of those vouchers that have a closing date, or just say "Hard Cheese" to those who are unable to use them up before the end of 2021, if that is the posted closing date?

I'm sure the club would do the right thing and extend the closing date for the time limited vouchers. If not I'm sure there would be a stewards enquiry.

The odd pound off here and there doesn’t amount to a great deal, but if you are part of a Reward scheme, then you can often access some very very good savings.

More than the odd pound TDA. In a typical year we end up with about £200 off shopping that we would be buying in any event. Plus of course we still get, club card, nectar and more points when we shop in those supermarkets. We have also used the Tesco rewards for tickets to the Tower, Tower Bridge Experience , St Paul's, IOW ferry and Blenheim Place. It's the best way to use them, as they are only face value on shopping

The into the blue activity that my son bought me last Christmas has been extended by 6 months. I didn't even have to ask, I was just sent an extension email. I would expect the club to do no less.

but then Aldi/Liidl have as we have found , will save plenty more than other incentives , which for us paying with our Tesco credit card gives us even more

That’s what we did Steve £50 of vouchers became £200 worth of free entry tickets😁. I think a lot of Members have used them on ferries as well if I recall. I checked my Club card last week, got another £50 to spend, but it might have to be in store this time, rather than on attractions. Still, it’s enough to get some nice tablewear, bit of a lockdown treat.

If there were significant further lockdowns next year when the sites would normally be open I think the Club would be duty bound to extend. It might not be much but perhaps a further six months into 2022. We don't really know how many of these vouchers were sold so we don't know the size of the problem. Many companies acquit themselves well with vouchers and COVID. We were given a gift card towards a Brasserie Blanc meal back in March. It was fairly clear that it was going to be sometime before we could use it so the purchaser got a refund with no issues and gave us the cash. Likewise some Clubcard  vouchers I had for Zizzi's restaurant have been extended twice by Tesco. It might be a mute point as to whether the particular chain will still be around by this time next year!!!

Yes, we get a lot of “lures”as well.  Not just supermarkets either.

We spent a quite substantial voucher gift from last Christmas at a hotel restaurant last week. They did say they would honour it at a later date but who knows which businesses will be viable in the future or how far money will stretch after these present problems subside.

My guess is that club sites will increase in price and the club vouchers will be buying less. It's unfortunate but I hope CAMC at least extends the scheme dates.

As the club is now at least 50% MoHo owners (I suspect) I think they should actively be campaigning for daytime parking availability to be improved in EVERY area by working WITH every council. That way would likely lead to more new members as MoHOs are becoming even more popular.

No, it is not even 50%.

It's a different issue altogether to the subject of this thread but you will find campaigns going on if you search the internet.

Hey Jill.... the voucher deal they had on last year was good....  £100 for £120's worth of vouchers.  We saved quite a bit....  I wouldn't mind a re-run of that.... 😃😃

We have a tesco credit card but have only used tesco once in the last 12 months which was last week to use up tesco vouchers that would otherwise have gone past the use by date, so we got a £52 shop for £3.25 which included club card prices as advertisedwink

The credit card is normally used for Iceland on line or Aldi and co op shopping plus fuel (not that we have put any in the car since last Septcool

We have been members for 30years why are the club still charging full price on sites that have no facility's. They asked us to stay loyal in this pandemic but have given nothing in return.

I think you'll get a fair idea of the general views from the 12 pages of discussion and from the Amenity Blocks Closed thread.

30 years or 30 days membership makes no difference.

Because they know full well that the majority of members who use club sites will do so regardless of how much they charge, facilities or none, especially after having been stuck at home for the most of the last 12 months.

And I plead guilty but it makes no difference because even in normal times I hardly use the facilities. Now if there were other alternatives e.g. more competition then it would be a different story.

Sorry I don't understand that? Are you saying you use club sites because there is no other competition, no other sites? Club sites account for only 10% of national sites.

Also you're pleading guilty to paying whatever the club sets?

So the other competition would be? the ccc are the nearest that the UK has and even the large Haven type chains can can only come near the clubs prices when trying to entice some  folks in at really off peak times

There is no competion in terms of no facility sites other than CLs and CSs and even these have limited hard standings and yes I am guilty of paying what ever the club asks, I am lucky in that I can afford it if it suits.

    What?

Well there are a few club sites that are no facilities for a start? There are some in the Camping in the forest and on Ukcampsites. Additionally you could try Nearly wild Camping or Pitchup .

From a simple search there appears to be quite a lot?
