How do you know those who you see driving around in a mask aren’t doing it to protect an elderly or vulnerable person they might be collecting?
Same with keeping a distance on a walk. You can often smell cigarette smoke, drink or drugs on someone walking past, so what’s wrong with someone wanting to keep safe by wearing a mask or distancing?
(Cycling groups have been provided with guidance around slip streaming to avoid breathing in someone else’s exhalation.)
It’s not uncommon for some folks to be extra cautious when around things they fear, and those fears manifest themselves in all guises.

I think paranoia is just your take on things. If people want to wear masks in that fashion, so what? It’s not impinging on the rest of us in any way.

What a terrible situation for those who do not seem to have common sense
But those of us it seems from much lower infection areas , do of course not expect others to be "carefull" , as for surfaces , there as we notice things called ant viral wipes that are quite commonly available to purchase ,and use on any areas that could have been used by those who are less sensible about how they react to the virus that is it seems is more prevelent from some areas

It will be scary for a lot of people, those who live their lives on a daily basis with compromised immune systems, and such folks need to be very cautious. I think “respect” is a better way to describe most folks attitude towards it, it’s a known killer, deserves caution and respect.👍

So if I loaded up my van with food, went away to a local allowed campsite and carried on as I would anywhere and maintain distances, I would spread the virus.
However, if I stayed at home and walked for a meal at a restaurant in the village that would be less of a risk.🤔
I don't know how I can put it any clearer, it's social interaction that spreads it. Stay away from others, particularly indoors, to minimise risk of transmission.
Both of the scenarios above are permissible, even in tier 3, but I know what I consider the lower risk, even though it involves traveling.

Masks. If possible, it's probably better not to keep taking them on and off, to avoid touching the surface, then chuck the disposable ones away after every outing. I wash the fabric ones after every use. The disposable masks offer around 33% protection but better than nothing and criticising wearers isnt helpful.
There is research out there stating home transmission is the highest due to the difficulties of self isolating in busy households. So it spreads amongst others living under the same roof and in the same locality.

I will not be frightened into staying at home by others.
I did not mean that those who do stay at home are frightened.
I have 2 family members who are staying at home because they both have cancer.
They made that decision not because someone frightened them but because it is the right thing to do for them.

People in a bubble do not have to be from the same household, so they may well arrive on site in different rigs.
How do you know its going on at every campsite every day. Are you on all the campsites
. As I have repeatedly said, use your own facilities, wash/sanitise your hands, when you have touched something that other people may have touched. Its really just the same as when you are shopping, sanitise on the way into the shop, sanitise the trolley handle, sanitise your hands again before you touch the car on your return. That's what we have done since this has all started.

But you know and I know that those people were almost certainly not in the same bubble.
You make your own choices and enjoy your breaks.
Just understand that when we go into the next lockdown the current rules on travel were a huge part of that happening.

They may have been, they may not, we should not judge.
It could be a family Mum, Dad + kids, along with granny and grandad who happen to be the kids childminders, ie a family bubble. Families also come in different shapes and sizes.
I still disagree with your last sentence and I'm not alone.

Arrived at Edinburgh club site yesterday 30th October having booked 3 weeks ago
Was going to stay 5 nights only to be told we could only stay for 2 as we would have to be off site by 6am Monday due to new Scottish restrictions
Was not very happy as they could have contacted us before we left home
This wasn't suitable to us and luckily managed to find another site nearby
Very unhappy with the clubs communication it really did spoil our plans

As people cant take their collective responsibilities, seriously it seems the Government will do it for them next week. Talk now of a National lockdown in England. Best get home quickly before you are stranded.- A report by an academic yesterday showed Confidence in English Government 29%, Scotland & Wales 70%, in their handling of the crisis. Says it all.
