    Now you're making me envious, I haven't got one at all!  laughing

    One of the major problems with the site is the lack of consistency with different devices and browsers.

    Hi BillC

    Have given the website a good rest for a few days!  Just logged in and so far, so good, albeit at the usual snail pace.  

    All I was trying to do was to look at individual CLs from a list, which kept giving me server errors.  Reading through subsequent posts, I'm not alone in that frown

    Site running very slowly this morning, first thing it is usually OK. Plus latest  activity showing a server error again, this has been OK for the last few days.

    Looks like we are back to normal.☹️

    Getting the same results Steve and I still cannot get my CT profile but can get everyone elses? Is the latter problem of my own making or does everyone else get the same result?

    I can get my profile but I doubt the problem is of your making. Several months ago the same thing happened to myself and if I remember correctly others. It was like it for a few days but corrected after some of that essential maintenance. Perhaps yours was permanently fried. Would it be worth an email to ask for it to be checked out? I find it quiet useful to find posts I have contributed to that have moved down the list.

    There's still a big delay in posts appearing, not easy on here.

    My profile is ok but everything else is a mixture of server errors and updating issues.

    My profile at times is not reachable when the errors are prevalent but  not always

    And as Brue says and i have sent an email to Ro ,with it taking so long for posts to appear , it seems to be causing even more confusion on threads with "misunderstandings"?

    My profile is OK too but I know a few others aren't.

    We've been told the delay of up to two minutes is the new normal, Brue, and not a fault but it beggars belief that this forum should acquire a newly inbuilt delay when more efficient software exists enabling other forums to perform ever smoother and faster.

    It would be OK if it was consistent two minutes? but another post can instantly appear which can it seems lead to confusion within threads

    Rowena's number on the CT info is not correct now it seems as my emails now use a different address

    It's up to two minutes depending where in the two minute cache refresh cycle you happen to post so it won't be consistent.

    It doesn't cause me to be confused and I don't see why it should cause anyone to be. Agreed, sometimes I post and find another has appeared while I was writing but that was always liable to happen even before the upgrade. It's a simple enough job to edit one's post if appropriate.

    Yes the email was rejected so I sent it direct to the web team instead. I await the response.

    The server errors are becoming very difficult to negotiate, very prominent this morning.

    Indeed, can't get latest activity working at all and pages still slow to load. They carried out essential maintenance last night.😂

    Its a pity nothing is communicated to members about why we keep having these problems. At least a source of irritation and frustration might be eased that way?

    More essential maintenance again last night about 1045. No warning, no notice. I wonder what they've tweaked this time............

    I worked for local government and thought their websites slow and clunky BUT even they never had so much 'essential' maintenance and always had banners on pages to draw your attention to planned work outages, well in advance!

    I think think essential maintenance is code for more broken than usual 🤔 need to lie down in a darkened room 😉. Mind you in these strange times I'd don't blame it.  🤣

    With the amount of "problems" and "essential maintenance?" that is happening 

     i would think that those who are suppossed to know?   are as i the dark with it as we are trying to get any replies?

    I couldn't bear the thought of listening to NL answering facile questions on Club News so was he asked anything about this monstrosity of a website?

    More server errors today, earlier on, thankfully none this evening but waiting for the Lego men to appear is like the Sword of Damocles awaiting to descend.

    Another anomaly with this website is that whilst there may be up to a 2 minute delay, depending where you are in that refresher period of 2 minutes, in your post appearing you will often find that it will be shown immediately as the last post on the main front sheet well before the actual post appears.
