I chose to lay low from the website as I was fed up with all the problems of Site Maintenance and Server Errors.

Is it safe to come back it now. Is it fixed wink

I usually have my page open at latest posts. I don't find the discussion page view very useful. Today is the first time that I have been able to access through latest posts. Hopefully back to a New normal.

I've had two server errors already this morning when trying to open the 'discussions' page ...... so I'd say not!

I would say not. Still taking too long to open posts.

It has been fairly normal for me today. That's the old normal, not the new normal of last week.😉

However, I think Justin said there was still a bit more to do and it would be down for maintenance at 10 pm today.

‘Is the site fixed‘. NO - post a reply and it does not appear, retype post and hey presto it appears twice

I gave up last night -so very slow it timed out.  Better this morning but still slow.  More annoying is the lack of any information as to what they're doing to sort it.  now campsites are reopening on 4 July 2020 I suspect the website will be busy.

That's not a fault, Path, but a delay of up to 2 mins is now the norm. It's explained in the Maintenance thread.

It started off OK first thing but is now getting slower and slower. Perhaps it's the heat.

I suspect this is the main reason for the slowness of the forum site. We need a bigger hamster.

Certainly that seemed to be the case yesterday shortly after the announcements. I even had a server error when trying to access the latest discussion page.

I've just had 3 Server Errors in quick succession, ironically one of them on the Club Product thread made by Phishing about how poor this website is. Couldn't agree more with him.

As to Harryb's question, the answer is NO it isn't fixed (again).

Perhaps it is suffering from the virus!

Seems like we have to queue on a 'one out and one in' basis like shops.

Currently it is the worst I have ever seen it.

I select an option, go and put the kettle on, grow a beard and raise a family of 4. When I get back the new page has just about loaded (unless there’s an error message).

Not fit for purpose, NL should do a bit of work and get his pen out and sign a cheque to get site fixed by someone who knows what they are doing

Not sure who NL is or who created the software for this forum, but functionally it belongs in the dark ages and whatever platform it’s running on is absolutely not fit for purpose. There are so many better products out there, time to move on and serve paying members better.

I started this post 5 weeks ago and just looked in because I have problems.

It's like the song, "there's a hole in the bucket", it's just going to go round and round in circles.

I am trying to use the search facility to find a cl, I have tried two and both times as I go through the procedure it tells me cl's are for members only and I must sign in. I am bl**dy well signed in. So you go back to square one and sign in but you can't go back to the cl you were looking at because you are now back to the Home screen so you have to start the search all over again.

Can CMAC take note of these faults and make some kind of statement. If you can't then scrap the website because it's a joke
