The email specifically refers to those members and guests who reside in a Very High Risk Alert area only being able to stay on club sites in that area. It doesn't mention non residents at all. Whether you would want to stay there is entirely another matter but there may be special circumstances that dictate it.

About time that you took a dose of your own advice and checked the facts.

Yes but no but.. If the residents aren't supposed to travel what's the logic of keeping a site open for them...Covid spreading in pleasant surroundings? wink

I wonder if anyone from a tier 1 area will go camping in a tier 3 area, and whether or not they will be allowed on a CAMC site.  Just asking laughing.

Personally I think the CAMC email poorly constructed and confusing.

5 out of 10 could do better.

Open all year sites in tier 3 areas will be open for people from those areas, and open for bookings for people from those areas only

JK, this is part of your post yet the email did not state that. Can you clarify as the email only states that those members in tier 3 can only stay at a site in that particular area, without mentioning anyone from outside of it.

    A bit confusing, not unexpectedly.

Open all year sites in tier 3 areas will be open for people from those areas, and open for bookings for people from those areas only.

That is totally clear to me.  It is so simple that it cannot even be broken down for explanation.

So, to clarify, if your on a club site in a tier 3 area and you're from that tier 3 area you're ok to stay. Also, if you're from that tier 3 area you can make a booking at that same tier 3 site.

My post above regarding addresses etc applies.

Having seen on TV some of how people are behaving, it does seem pretty restrained and considerate where we are in comparison, though no doubt there will be quite a few in Glasgow behaving in a similar manner.  Certainly a good number of  the returning students have!

We had a Waitrose delivery early on, then a click and collect, but otherwise, preferring to select our own items, we have been out once or occasionally twice a week to Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, M&S, Asda, and once so far to Morrisons.  All relatively large stores. Mask wearing is variable, but mainly observed, and most are keeping a decent distance, we have not felt in any danger, but we have not visited any crowded places.

Glad we cancelled our trip as it would have taken us through most of the worst affected areas in England!

But the email doesn't say that LLM. At the moment it is but the word of a warden (wise though he may be)laughing

Will he be turning all of those people away who are unable to download the NHS track and trace app?

In a way I'm glad that I can't go to a club site. Too stressful.

Might be a bit different when all those Rangers and Celtic supporters return from England, having gone down there to watch the "Old Firm" derby on the box in pubs this weekend, Kjell.

There's no accounting for some folk nellie!  Especially not football supporters.

Nicola was not holding back on telling them to behave, but for many it will fall on deaf ears.

On looking at the "Information page" accessed from the email it seems that members and guests will NOT be allowed onto any club site in the Tier 3 areas so as Brue alluded to, Madness.

Still don't know how those without access to the NHS app will get on but I won't be worrying about it as I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Just following Govt practice, making it up as they go along...... 😉

We currently have Tier Wales, Tier 3A (Liverpool and Merseyside), Tier 3B (Lancashire), Tier 2 but really should be 3 (Greater Manchester).

My money is on Tier Kier by the end of the week.........😬

But they haven't closed Burrs due to the delaying tactics being depolyed by local politicos and I presume the club won't close the site til they get the official nod. The delays could cost lives. frown

I will go with Monday after clocks are changed😁

Goodness knows how they decide what tiers different areas of country should be in. Looking at three maps/charts on BBC, you have one showing case rate, next is areas by tiers, which doesn’t line up in terms of high case areas being in highest tiers, then final chart shows R rate, which is supposed to be information driving decisions. This is currently showing SW area as having highest R rate in England, 1.3 to 1.6🤷‍♀️

I am confused as to what the Club is actually doing. Some information indicates sites in Tier 3 are being closed yet the email talks about the rules when visiting sites in these areas. Surely the sites should be shut down in line with the recommendations to not make unecessary journeys in these areas.

I think it only affects Blackpool at the moment. Locals can go, but not anyone from outside Lancashire. With or without an App......

So technically, if you live in GM area, you cannot go. It’s too dangerous for you, despite Blackpool itself being around half the case rate of parts of GM. The case rates of areas within different tiers vary greatly.

Why would anyone in their right mind even want to consider going to these hot spot area, or anywhere near them.
