I have often wondered if the "server error" is actually  not a "fault?" is actually there to give the Mods a break ,from constantly  having to keep checking for Transgressorswink

with its present performance the Mods will be the only ones looking in, I have noticed over the last few months that a lot of the "old timers" seemed to have moved onfrown

Never mind, I understand PHE will have some surplus to requirements equipment, of a similar vintage to that employed on CT.  Perhaps the CC can obtain it and use it to patch some of the holes. It won't matter on here that it looses data, that happens all the time.😂

    Goldie

That is correct but I was referring to Club Week https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/club-talk/club-membership/club-week/ where there was also an opportunity to submit questions to the DG but there only seemed a 24 hour window to submit those questions.  I have never attended an AGM of the Club so I don't know how long is given over to questions but from the published minutes there doesn't seem to be that many. Perhaps the different format this year they will allow more time?

Sorry - I wasn't paying attention! Must try harder!

I've only signed up to the AGM to be nosey. If it's boring at least you can sneak away without disturbing anyone.

Trying to look at CLs this afternoon - losing the will to live in the process!  Half the time, when clicking on a particular CL to view details, the internal server error comes up.  Go back, try again, same story.  Close website completely, open website again, sometimes it will let me look at a CL, sometimes it won't.

So Harryb, as OP, if you're still looking at this thread from time to time, since your first post in June, things don't seem to have improved, let alone fixed frown

I believe, whatever Ro or anyone else at HO says, that they have no interest whatsoever of fixing this site, especially the forum part of it. The "Essential maintenance" is just a way of making it even harder for members to access the site and so encourage them to abandon it. When there are so few using the forum they will just close it down, claiming lack of interest from members.

You could be right.  Any other website with the same problems would be fixed in no time.  I don't have a FB account, but believe CAMC is quite active there and so they would probably like to close the forum at some point altogether and just use FB.

    Hi InaD,

it does not look like they have fixed it!      However, a bit of advice;  it’s no good just closing down the app when you are not having much joy accessing the site or particular areas of the site.    You must reboot your device and clear the old login stuff from your cache/memory.   But, in this case, that won’t help because the CC web site has problems and they go back a long time.

Well, I’ve never had server errors and, yes, today it’s fast. Perhaps it’s only fixed if you live in Bucks and it’s a Wednesday in October. We shall see.

You would think that the Club would be embarrassed over the state of this website , but I don’t think they really care

This is rather silly and annoying. Look at the green box floating over the bits we want to read.😤

Would somebody report my post you bring this to the attention of the staff, please.

Does no one ever test these things?

Anyway, it's back to snail speed and another server error now🙄

Ita been an absolute joke this week. The amount of maintenance it’s had recently this site should be sorted out. It’s clearly not a priority to the club to have a fully functioning reliable and useable website.

On my PC screen the green box is to the left of text in the white space. It was last night when I was looking at the reviews. Perhaps the problem is device specific?

Seems to be also operating system specific. On my iPad running iOS 10 it's just a small circle.

It seems a mish mash, tbh. My screenshot above was from my ipad running ios14 using Safari.

On my Android phone using Chrome, the icon is a circle like Steve's but is even more annoying due to its size on the small screen. See pic.

Whatever the cause or reason for it, it's far from user friendly and certainly not professional looking.
