Yup, longer darker days. I rather fancy the Alien option, go safely to sleep in a comfy pod, wake up in six months hoping all is nicer and safer.
This year seems to have flown by, one minute bare trees, then buds, leaves, now the colours are changing, and leaves starting to come down. ๐

the winter wheat is growing in the fields for next year (let's hope it stays a bit drier this time round) the winter veg are coming along nicely and it will soon be time to put the sprouts on for Christmas.

They actually go back not forward and it's not until 25th October.

I would prefer them not to change at all and if they really have to, it should be for a much shorter length of time perhaps mid November to mid February, or even just December and January? I don't mind dark mornings as I rarely get up early now that I am retired!!!!

I can remember back in 1968, yes I am that old, going to school when the clocks were kept at British Summer Time for three years: loved it!

I also preferred it. It was discontinued I believe because of complaints about dark mornings further north. Didn't really seem a good enough reason to me, how do they manage in countries where they only get a few hours of daylight. I suppose if independence ever becomes a reality there could be separate time zones north and south of the border.
