I am 78 now, I prefer to limit my day to 200 miles, but another 50 miles is no problem.
We would leave by 10am, stop for lunch at 12, before the service areas or lay-bys get too busy, resume our journey at 1.30pm, and plan to arrive by 3.30-4.pm.
Luckily we have rarely had any problems with bad weather when on the road.

Me neither. I'm a little younger but seldom do 100mls in a single tow never mind 250.

I do prefer shorter hops, but if our initial destination is some way off I will look at the total distance and see if we can make it half way on the first day, which is usually the case, especially as it is almost always mainly on motorways, and we like to start out on a Sunday whenever possible.
After that we will often only travel 100 miles, or less, to our next site.

Just sent off for my latest 3-yearly driving licence ( just rising 79 ) and, as a diabetic, they are insisting that my blood sugars get tested every 2-hours. So I could easily end up with a couple or three two hour spells driving at the max depending on test results. So I would not be far away from KjellNN's figures.

I mean between one site and another, so very seldom require a break in our journey. Usually it's a lot less, sometimes as little as 30 mls.

Should I ever want to do that sort of distance, even on motorways we would take at least 4 days to do it. We very seldom rush anywhere!😁

I just can't see the enjoyment of being behind the wheel of a car for that length of time or the need to travel that distance in a single day. However as TW said it's one's personal choice, just not mine.

Then you're a "very naughty boy". The limit isn't 60 until you get level with Whale Island.

For me it's an age thing. As I've got older I found that my sensible daily range reducing. Fortunately now retired we can take as long as we want and our journey between sites is often less than 100 miles. Last year in France chasing the sun south we did two days of 250 miles, although that was exceptional, our average was about 70 miles. The days of 250 miles were easy driving on French Autoroutes and rather quicker at 110 kph in a MH than it would have been towing. In fact if we had been towing we wouldn't have done it. When young we drove to Sorrento in 3 days. I think I would need at least 10 now.

I prefer it over here as well JVB. When towing we used to favour Sunday's for motorway driving as there were less HGV's to tangle with. Now we travel any day and just pass them, they have a lot les affect on our MH than they did on our Cadiz.😀

Travelling is so much easier with the MH, as is arriving, departing, and sight seeing enroute. Living in it isn't much different to a caravan while the water chores are certainly easier.
