I have uploaded a profile picture but it's not showing in my posts.  Does anoyone know how I should correct this?

    The profile pics are notorious. They won't load on all devices although it looks as if yours has. Sometimes clearing the cache is needed and sometimes it just takes time. I'd give it a day or so then maybe contact Rowena after the weekend to see if she can help.

    Whatever the issue, I doubt if it's of your making.

    When I look at your Profile I can see the avatar just a space with an error showing. You do need to use a computer with Flash installed which tends to rule out Apple products. You could try what TW suggests. The irony is that whilst this site needs Flash that is being fazed out soon so I imagine none of us will be able to change picture!

    I'm in the same boat. I use a MacBook and couldn't upload a photo so I used a Windows laptop and it worked but back on my MacBook I can't see it so I don't know if anyone else can.

    The spitting image John Major look on my MacBook Pro as well. It just shows what a shower our website designers are.

    I quite enjoy the cartoony bust(NO CY leave it🤨) that some of us have. It makes a change from the stacked who’s who of ‘most wanted’ & ‘have you seen this person if so call *********** in confidence’ types😊

    Using my MacBook I've just had a look at My Profile - the My Profile you can edit your personal preferences in, not the My Profile in Club Together, (not at all confusing!), and I can see the photo I uploaded using a Windows laptop. So, if I can see it there, why can't I, (and others),see it here?

    Very disappointing (but not surprised !!) to see this site still requires Adobe Flash Player to amend the profile picture.....given that Adobe announced an End Of Life (EOL) for Dec 2020 way back in 2017...

    Having just replaced my 2013, 27" iMac with the new 2020,i7 model, which will not allow any version of Flash Player to download...it appears I am unable to amend my outdated profile picture for the foreseeable future...obviously three years + notice is not enough for the IT team..

    I may have a 'live chat' tomorrow in the hope that someone at EG knows where the IT department is hiding ....

    They don't seem capable of doing anything anyway even if you/EG find them! We've been asking for stuff to be done for years & years with no luck.

    Other forums manage very well without profile pictures. Is it time for Club Together to drop the idea?

    This subject has been on the go for years if I recall correctly and it has not been resolved for some using non Windows OS. Given the how long this has been an issue I don't see it being resolved with the current software. Perhaps find a friend with a Windows based PC/Laptop and use that to change an avatar. It can still be done as I have noticed that one contributor here has changed his avatar twice in as many days.

    We have tried for years to do a picture!  Flash player installed etc,etc, still wouldn’t work.  Now given up and use the grey blobby person!!!😂

    Post reply as i have same problem my profile pic is from six years ago,frown

    Last i heard 100 staff were working from remote locations (Home) at least four i have been in contact withsurprised

    I'm currently struggling to change mine.  Which one I have seems to depend on the computer I use.

    As far as I can see you have changed it three times in the last few days? Have you tried clearing your cache?

    Hello David.  Yes thank you.  I finally cracked it.  The secret I found was Ctrl F5, but first you have to make sure all your tech is logged out.  I'm no expert so please nobody ask for guidance.  I just got lucky.  Anyway my dream machines are now there.

    Hurrah🤩At long last it looks as though changing one’s avatar photo, even on an iPad is now a lot easier. It still takes a few minutes to show the change, once done via profile (don’t forget to save changes!), but it can now be done👍
