Following the temporarily closure of Tredegar House, new local lockdown restrictions in Wales has resulted in the Club needing to close Gowerton Club Site from Saturday 26 September until 17 October at the earliest.     We were on Gowerton at the weekend. It was sad that the site had to close but good that we had two days notice. One issue that arose was that although the site was to be closed Sunday night we were unable to book elsewhere using the online system until our booking had been cancelled by the wardens and our refund issued. The wardens kindly called us Friday pm but we were some distance away and not in a position to make a swift return. So potentially we were left with Sunday night and no pitch. As it was Friday I called head office who were very helpful and overrode the system to make us a booking for last night. Unfortunately this is the second time this year that we have been in this situation as we were on site when lockdown started in March and had no alternative but to undertake a long journey home. The point of this long story is that it is looking very likely that unfortunately this won't be a one off situation over the coming months and it would be really helpful if the club could put something in place which alerts members on site to imminent closure and facilitates rebookings for alternative sites. It is horrid for members on site and wardens to have to close sites at short notice and anything that can make it easier for both would be appreciated.

    I doubt the club gets advance notice of what's likely to need to be closed. Just listening to the news should alert folk to what's likely to happen at short notice.

    I'm sure that they don't get any advanced information but that wouldn't prevent putting something in place to help in this circumstance.

    Just felt very sorry for the wardens who were working hard to help everyone and thinking that once a system is set up for this circumstance IT only have to push a button for it to click in.

    Two days notice to leave a site doesn't seem too bad to me. We got a knock on the door at 2 am. and 30 minutes notice to leave a site at Grimaud when the wind changed, and fire on the hill was sweeping closer to the campsite. We didn't phone head office for help.

    With the problems this year and many staff still working from home I would think it very diffcult for either of the clubs to be able to forsee any local lockdown and find a quick solution

    As happened in the First national lockdown 

    It happens as was the case earlier in the year with the flooding
