Think  if  any  thread  should  be  made  "Sticky"  then  this  is  it  !!

Sadly the Bower Hinton shop I mentioned closed. But any of us can Google "find a farm shop near me" and hopefully find lots more. smile

If it hasn't already been mentioned, there's an excellent Farm shop on the outskirts of Nantwich, Cheshire called Cheerbrooks

    https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Cheerbrook+Quality+Farm+Food/@53.0662239,-2.4974048,15.14z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x487af508f71b494d:0x61ff32742ee5730!8m2!3d53.0646514!4d-2.4916703?hl=en

Also, if anyone likes cheese and is staying at Southport site, there's a good cheese shop in Birkdale village - a 10 minute stroll from the site

Called in at Greendale Farm Shop on the A3052 Exeter to Sidmouth road, about 2 miles from the M5, Junction 30.

It has a very wide range of fresh produce including a Butchers, Fishmongers (fresh crabs) and Deli plus a cafe/light restaurant doing a roaring trade on Easter Monday. Excellent local produce for sale as well. We were impressed.

Don't go to the one near Bridlington site. It has hardly anything in it no fresh veg or fruit or a meat counter.

The cafe may be ok but v don't go there hoping to stock up with  fresh farm produce.

Lovely area brue, Helmsley is a nice little town. As well as Castle it has the fantastic Walled Garden, superb in June/July. Farm shop hasn’t been going that long, but the gift shop area, the florist area, and the actual farm shop itself are top quality. I hadn’t noticed the site first time we visited, but it looks very nice.

Here’s another gem we always visit when in the area. Haven’t been for a few years, but  have no doubts it’s just as good.

If people ever find themselves staying at the Harrogate Caravan Park there is a very nice farm shop next door called Fodders. They also have an excellent cafe.

Very famous throughout Yorkshire DK, it’s on the Great Yorkshire Showground, close to Harrogate Pavilions. Queues out the door every day for the cafe. We know it well,😁

Yes we did have to wait but fortunately not too long, we had some visitors so we took them to lunch there. We had been warned the day before that it could be busy. Contrast today, brilliant sunshine and the outside section open but we had been to Bettys in Harrogate today.

Didn’t know you were in area DK, you seem to have dropped for some nice weather. Never been in Betty’s, but has a good reputation. Not sure if you have been, but Ripley is not far away. Interesting Estate village, got a very nice ice cream shop. Have a nice time😀

Cycling past the farm shop at Knitsley, near Consett in County Durham, we decided to stop for a coffee as they had multiple outdoor picnic benches and an outdoor kiosk.

We ventured into the actual farm shop and were impressed by the produce on display. One to return to when not cycling.

Open Tuesday to Saturday (usually Sunday as well but closed at present). They serve various hot meals from the kiosk and judging by the amount of cars in the car park had a lot of regular customers.

Excellent sanitation station for C19. A hand gel or soap and a hot water tap and a hand drier, all outside.

If you’re touring the Cotswolds Old Farm (near Moreton-in-Marsh) has a great little farm shop with products from meat reared on the farm. Sausages and lamb burgers are yum!

Old Farm is also a CS.

Called in at Clives fruit farm on the outskirts of Upton-upon-Severn town as they have a PYO. The quality of the fruit was excellent and we picked up some other bits from the farm shop, which was well stocked with some unusual items. They also have an onsite butchers and a cafe.

Plenty of parking space and medium sized Motorhomes will be fine.

Same place, same family owners, but now called Strawberry Fields. Bigger and better farm shop than ever and cream teas and cooked breakfasts available too. Motorhomers can stay overnight, free for customers I think. Details on Search for Sites, Camper Contact and the usual motorhome apps.

Strange Euro, yesterday we needed to take a trip to Cornwall, they checked our passports on the way in. We went to Launceston and passed the signs for this Farm Shop, sadly it was very late evening and they would have been closed or we would have stopped. I love a good farm shop.

Stopped for a bite to eat at Battlefield 1403 farm shop and cafe which can be found on the A49 on the North East part of Shrewsbury.

Nice farm shop, mainly concentrating on Butchers but has other local produce. The cafe is extremely popular for brunch and lunches as well as a good coffee and cake stop.

The church next door was erected in memory to those that fell in that battle of 1403 between Henry IV and Hotspur Percy so something historical to view as well.

So six years on I was there again yesterday , and my goodness how it has grown.

Car park is vast now, restaurant is hugely expanded - with perhaps 200 tucking in to lunch - (all pretty standard stuff on the menu but well done) with 20 child waitresses scurrying to and fro. And what was just a farm shop selling local produce now has a big butchery and bakery. but also sells soft toys, china ornaments, home decorations, and all sorts of useless stuff as well.

All credit to the family owners who have developed it into an enormous business and been awarded title of Large Farm Shop of the year. If you are coming to Cornwall it’s  better than stopping at a motorway services - and some of you might even like it. But if you want lunch on a Wednesday you had better book . It’s on line and called Strawberry Fields

Another Farm Shop down here getting cracking good reviews is Cornish Coasts near Bude - but a couple of miles inland.  And though I haven’t tried it some of you might - because as well as farm shop and restaurant they run a campsite with about 50 pitches  - so there’s a shop plus meals on the campsite. And notice the sideways on caravan pitching and a hedge for shelter.
