Route to Bilbao
Hi everyone, we travel from the Costa Del Sol to Bilbao for an early ferry back to the U.K.
can you recommend any camp sites for one night stop overs please and the best route .

Double check your ferry departure as Brittany Ferries is cancelling some services from Bilbao. Your travel arrangements may be changed.
If you find you still have an early morning departure contact the Bilbao Kobetamendi youth hostel to confirm that they can still accept caravans overnight in their Motorhome area. They used to.
The best route across Spain will be by sticking to the motorways. If campsites are closed because of the current Coronavirus upsurge in Spain you may have to overnight at service stations.
You will have to quarantine for 14 days when you reach UK.

We have travelled up from Bella Vista on a couple of occasions. Usually to catch the 3pm ferry so this may not help. We call at Cacares Camping then next night at Fuentes Blancas, Burgos. This leaves us an easy 100 mile motorway journey for the ferry. We used Camping Olimpia north of Salamanca earlier this year when lockdown took hold. Its a 400 mile run from Bella Vista and 250 miles onwards to Bilbao.
