Work done while in Storage - newbie
We have just bought our first secondhand caravan. We will be picking it up from the seller next week (last week of August). We are thinking of storing it at a Storage location, but this got me a bit confused.
We will be doing some work on the caravan ourselves, so we aren't sure if that would be possible if we store it at a Caravan Storage - would we have access to it? Would we be able to use energy for the tools?
Should we maybe just hire a pitch for long term instead?
We are a bit confused on how things work and what would be the best way of doing things at this first stage. We unfortunately don't have a driveway to store it.
Looking forward to some advice and we can't wait to start travelling around the UK and get more involved with this great community.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.

I don't think a caravan site would allow you to do work on a van as most don't allow cleaning of them. Also I would visit the storage site your looking at and ask them about working on the van but using their power might be a no go so cordless tools might be a thought.

You might perhaps be better to see if a CL owner or farmer local to you would allow you to store your van on their premises and for a price supply you with a power supply so that you can do the work you want to do.

If I was you I’d get this sorted now, RA. Storage sites often have waiting lists and holiday sites are very full at present. You're cutting it fine.

I would certainly get storage sorted as soon as you can. When we bought a caravan in 2005 local storage wasn't that easy to come by and it still isn't. We put our name on the list of a local storage and when one became available rented the space for a month before we got our van.
