If there are two blocks on site and one provides for two males and two females, Then no matter the likely configuration of the closed second block I would think it likely that provision could be increased by 50% to allow for one male and one female. Wouldn't you?

Two people at a time it is, whether they be showering or whatever. I’m afraid it’s very much a case of take it or leave it, JS. JK has explained and I’m fine with that. Would you rather be put at risk?

I think that most of us, especially in present circumstances would use our own toilet.
I don't know if you have a medical issue but if I were to solely use the facilities for the toilet I doubt that I would take 5 minutes, probably 3 mins.

We do not know why it is not being used. Let’s not condemn without knowing the story. I have already suggested the cleaning issue as being a reason but there could be other issues making it impractical.
I assume you’re planning a visit there so perhaps you’ll get to the bottom of it. Pardon the pun.

I have no idea why the upper block at Broadway is closed, although having visited the site many times it could be to do with how small that block is and not particularly accessible for someone with mobility issues unless they happen to be on one of the few pitches at that level. If it was open I doubt more than one person could use it at a time?
The simple answer is to just ask the warden? In the unlikely event he can't provide an answer then by all means get HQ involved. Anyone visiting a Club site during the current situation has to appreciate there will be an element of inconvenience (no pun intended) in making use of the toilet blocks on sites. When we were at Cirencester I was amazed at people queuing at seven in the morning! We managed perfectly well with our onboard facilities as we always do.

I take it from this post you have only,arrived today? so the top very small capacity toilets ,that is closed ,the reason has not been investigated yet? as I posted earlier the first contact is with the site management team,and untill that, all the posts about the "problem" are pure guess work

The upper block that is refered to is a fairly large building with a lot more in it than just the toilets (including The Wanderer). What a lot extra to have to clean in addition to the actual toilets, as one can't get to the toilets other than through the whole building. Not a good use of time resource so very sensible to close the whole building. By the way, access is up a flight of stairs so no mater where those with mobility difficulties are pitched, they are unlikely to get in anyway.
I have just returned from three weeks on a very full site with absolutely no toilet queues or hassle. This was for the simple reason that there was no toilet block there at all to fight over. Perhaps it was a mistake on the part of the Club to open any toilet block on the sites at all.

I think you're missing the point of the measures that are put in place. The whole idea is to mitigate face to face contact and to try and maintain adequate social distancing. If that means only two people in the block at a time then that's how it is, irrespective of what ablutions they are performing. That's really all I can say.

IMO i think this post is a wind up, if you have a problem whilst on site, speak to the warden if no joy go to EG backed up with a posting on CT to inform members of a particular situation,
I am sure most wardens would appreciate a litlle chat about a situation so hopefully it can be resolved at local level before getting EG involved and after all EG are not the quickest out of the blocks when it comes to responding to anything, chances are you could be on your way home, keep it at the coal face if no joy escalate.

I stayed at the Wirral site recently which has just the one toilet block and the measures worked very well. It was obvious, from the numbers using the toilet block, that many people were using their own facilities but as the site is quite spread out, perhaps a lot of people who use the site, do that anyway. I thought that maybe there could be 2 sorts of hangers for the wrist bands, one for the showers and one for the toilets then if one or both of the showers were in use, those people who just want to use the toilets would be able to see right away that people were in the shower and could go back a little later, rather than standing in a queue for some time. As far as I am aware, there have not been any reports of anyone catching Covid at any C&MH or C&CC sites so it appears that the measures must be working OK and personally, I would far rather the sites were open with the above measures and the facilities open, than without them being open at all and thank you to the site staff for all your hard work.

The Old GWR goods shed at Broadway (before the site was extended and the new facilties were added)was originally the site office and toilets,
Where the wanderer horse drawn caravan is now (the old track bed)was the area you stopped and went up the steps to book in, the actual toilets and showers are very cramped
Ps The goods shed was originally leased from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway , but was sold to the club and internally refurbished some years ago

I am sure some wardens will appreciate your post and although I have not stayed on a club site this year, i am sure also suggestions are always welcome, and i am glad you enjoyed your stay and a handful of people on CT also seem to have done, but, following on from your stay the next week could be a whole new ball game depending on the clientel, you only need a group of people who think rules are made to he broken and what was bliss becomes hell.
The OP has stated he jumped the queue because he needed the loo and because he did not meet anybody face to face thought this was ok, I can just imagine a queue of 7 people at 7 o'clock in the morning being overtaken by somebody who says they need the loo, that is 7 people angry for the rest of the day
, we will be having security guards at the entrance next

On many sites with a single block, there are additional toilet(s) that can be easily acessed for use when the block is being cleaned. Are those open for use? (we have not visited a site yet) They would not need a band, as the indicator is either red occupied, white vacant. It would seem an obvious solution for those who just want the toilet rather than the shower.
