Belgium has been added to the quarantine restrictions. According to the BBC the Department of Transport has issued some guidance for those travelling through the country on their way back to the UK. If you drive through from Germany or the Netherlands and don't stop there will be no need to self isolate when you get home. However if the vehicle stops in Belgium and anyone gets out, for example at a service area of filling station then there will be a requirement to self isolate for all members of the party.

Thanks for the added detail DK.  Hope things change by Sep (out 1 Sep and returning 1 Oct via tunnel) and that France is not added.  However, as we are retired, self isolation not the end of the world and we would ask our nice neighbours to do our shopping.  If there are any restrictions on entering Germany from France, Belgium or Austria/Italy well that would change our plans!

We are in the same position as you, due out on the 3rd via the tunnel coming home a few days after you. Was hoping to spend all our time in France but things might have to change, will wait and see still 3 weeks yet.
