If it is Milton fluid used, Milton web site it says that it takes 15 mins for the solution to work. How will this be effective if people are waiting and take a band that someone has just put into the fluid??

Club has to provide some sort of tally system for those wanting to use the loos, hence it’s come up with the bowl of Milton (or something similar) It’s an aid to keeping things as clean as possible, an item that is going to be handled dozens of times a day by different people. If a band is in there long enough, it will get the full anti viral effect. If it isn’t, then you have to expect folks are still bright enough to combine this with using their own hand gels as well. Some will, some won’t. Some will wash their hands, some won’t. It’s now the responsibility of each individual to care for themselves, not rely upon others to do it for you, at any point.

There is no 100% risk free way of doing anything at the moment if intent on going out with interaction. CAMC are attempting to reduce risks as much as possible, if that is not acceptable to customers then that risk has been deemed to high so best stay away.

What I and no doubt some others would like to know, in detail, is what measures the club is taking. The hope is that someone who is actually on a site can tell us. For example is the club providing hand santising stations at the service points, as per the attached sector guidance.

The safest thing to do at present is use your own facilities.
At a CEP point I'd wear a mask and disposable gloves.
Probably a good idea around waste water drains too.
Wash hands.
I don't know what others intend to do?

Presumably, the token is for access to the block ie showers, loos, urinals and hand basins. I hope users are being urged not to dawdle when completing their daily ablutions. In the past, I have been mildly annoyed at having to wait for a shower and then finishing my shower while the other users still haven't finished. Are the washhand basin cubicles closed? That would reduce block occupancy.
How about wind up timers, set to 5 minutes, instead of rubber bands? Or entry by smart phone/ bluetooth connection with ' your time is up mrs xxx' tannoy announcements?
There must be some good-natured humour in this situation surely, otherwise the behaviour of a few of jvb66's links will make it all a bit unpleasant.

It’s academic what the Club is providing. Items such as sanitiser can and will be stolen, there one minute, gone the next. Take your own is the fool proof method of looking after one’s self. (Any tent camper knows to take their own loo roll to the bog, because even on the poshest of Sites, someone will have stolen whatever might have been provided!😉)

Staying at home at the moment brue, but after that a nice quiet site with few pitches, no communal loo block, our own facilities. Another month, see how things work out opening up the economy.

Why people feel the need to put themselves and others at risk beats me but, although we all need to be responsible for our own safety, the club has measures in place. A call to a specific site might get more info but we all need to be prepared for whatever eventuality we encounter and not rely on others.

best to have non sexual orientated facilities block then you can shower with a friend, or the OH of course, would reduce occupancy as hopefully your chosen one would be from your bubble so no need to social distance, and time spent in the block, 2 for the price of one, or not as the case may be

Likewise, we are booked for end of August into September. Anything could happen between now and then, but hopefully things may have settled into a new norm, if not then we will cancel.
Regarding feedback from sites via their customers, give it time. Meanwhile we'll attempt to keep this thread to the top

A but then ours is a modest and venerable motorhome with only gas heating of water. Also, using the shower would inundate the wine box store and, in summer abroad, knacker the 12v coolbox! We've got the cash to walk out and buy a new van today, but at our age we wouldn't get much mileage out of it, nor many showers

Strip wash. Used to be the norm before Caravans had showers in them, or a dip in the sea. It’s all gone soft nowadays.........😁 And the hardies have got older of course😂

Me neither, but I think I might use the disposable gloves I bought 100 of, just in case. When we were away in March just before lockdown we found water consumption excessive due to all the hand washing. You won't be able to nip into the block unless there is a token free.

Yes, but not quite, when I said to one of our daughters and partner they said "what do you want a shower for...?!" So they'll be off in their tent or borrowed vans sited in fields with just a tap available and a pit.
In fact we've got a photo of them when they went to a funeral in Cumbria during lockdown, in a tent, alongside a horsebox, behind a wall and they did admit they'd never been so cold!

I think it was full of hay!
Our van washroom isn't brilliant but vans with lots of washroom space I will be envious of just now. I rarely use the showers but there are one or two sites where I do (nice modern blocks etc.) It's just all the water filling, no wonder the service pitches are taken everywhere.
