Just wondering how many 'staycation' bookings will be cancelled now the travel ban has been lifted with no 14 day quarantine on return..

This is the same date and crossing as us. Same destination too... thought for a second that I had written the post!

We can get a full refund [from CAMC]up until 48hrs before the departure so we are going to leave it until around the 10th of July. I think I would rather drive down to Dover or Folkstone rather than drive down on the other side from Rotterdam!

It looks like the quarantine rule is going to be relaxed on 29th June! but the Gov will have to remove the travel restrictions on non essential journeys too. Logic would suggest that they are the same thing really!

Geez that is good👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻, I paid more than that last year pre Covid-19🤷🏻‍♂️. There has got to be a catch, I’ve been researching without success, it’s either-not Covid friendly or reams of ‘buts’ & hoops that amount to-nearly Covid friendly but not quite😤😤

got trip planned for early Sept so have not started search as yet, but Staysure have been advertising full covid cover not checked prices, normally do RP medical & breakdown, liked the fact it was all in one place, Barclays provide medical in conjunction with current bank account but i believe their max number of days was 30 then you pay a premium for anything over that, i think last year we paid £300+ with RP 120 days medical and breakdown

Are you sure that's correct.  It seems extremely cheap for one person for a one week short break, let alone two people, annual insurance, with multiple trips.  My son's single trip for him and his little daughter is more than that.

On the subject of travelling in France....

Camping-Car Park have finally sorted their App problems, and the revised version is quite impressive.

    Enjoy your trip Rich.

I have just read that France is altering their rules about the wearing of face masks and will now want them to be worn in all indoor spaces including shops. This new rule will take effect from 1st.August so I believe but please double check.

Thanks, I read that today in the connexion. We have been wearing masks since the start of lock down here so it wont make any difference to us
