He said: “The best hope is that we will be able to allow people to come back to visit Wales in accommodation that is entirely self-contained, where in effect you could be self-isolated if you needed to be, if you were to fall ill [so] you would not be not posing an additional risk to others.”

I would have thought that definition could include campsites if facilities blocks remain closed.

I watched it live, as I live in Wales. I can see his point of view.

He did say that he can see the 5 mile limit rule staying until at least the middle of July and the shielded group of people have been asked to continue shielding until sometime in mid August. If these measures do actually work I can foresee that he might actually restrict any travelling around Wales to those living here. Might be tough for us to get back in after escaping to England for caravanning.winksmile

THe Welsh first minister it seems is the same as when campsites were mentioned at one of the Downing street briefings ,it had not been thought about or recognized, ,how most are already  social distancing self contained units, the 5mile travel might cause a problem?  even for what he has said would be allowed

He also mentioned that the Welsh government would take note of any concerns that the communities in those tourist areas might have about an influx of visitors.

You're wrong JVB. It has been thought about and as I said on the Corona Virus thread he said that discussions were ongoing with PH Wales. As he said, they make the preparations first then the announcements not the other way around. So they are considering the whole impact of tourism to Wales, which let's face it is a considerable income for the country.
