Ever been stopped for satnav speed camera alerts

Couple of quick questions. I keep reading that in a number of European countries forbid the use of   speed camera alerts on Satnav's. We are advised to disable this feature when travelling abroad, but my question is has anyone been stopped by a law enforcer to check that the satnav?

It seems to me the police aren't that bothered so should I disable this feature when I eventually venture abroad?

So whats actually wrong with sticking to the speed limit. No sat nav has all speed cameras on them, obviously the mobile ones won`t be.

I think you will find that modern SatNavs will warn you without actually mentioning Speed Camera. When in France my Garmin says something like “dangerous area”  (I don’t recall the actual display). This switches automatically between countries depending on the local law and there is no need for manual intervention.

I wasn't suggesting speeding for one minute, in fact I like the sat nav warnings as they help me stay safe and legal. I see them as an aid to driving.
