I have booked Brittany ferry Portsmouth to Bilbao 5th July 2020

by which time restrictions will be lifted

unfortunately red pendant and the camping and caravan club equivalent are not selling any insurance at the moment and the AA wont cover anything over 7 metres

does anyone know where I could get cover

I don't want to leave it till last minute hoping red pendant will start again

    For your breakdown cover try a Green Flag single overseas trip policy - as with most insurers their 7 metre length limit refers to the caravan body - which is of course the UK legal size limit for towed caravans. The A frame and hitch is allowed as an extra. 

    For your medical cover try Staysure - or do a search via the usual comparison sites such as Compare the Market and so on. 

    But wait until you know whether your travel on 5 July really is going ahead.

    I need to get out to javea  normally go February/March I have booked the ferry this week hoping restrictions will be lifted (passenger ferry will start) and didn’t want to wait until they start again as they would get booked really quickly

    Have a look at Nationwide flex plus account.There vehicle insurance covers Caravans and trailers - 8 metres in length (including A-frame).
