There is a statement to that effect on the Buy Vouchers page.

Do the UK Club Site Vouchers have an expiry date?

All orders up to and including 28 April 2020 will receive vouchers with no expiry date. All orders from 29 April 2020 onwards will receive vouchers valid until 31st December 2021, giving you a clear 18 months+ to enable you to use the vouchers.

A clear 18 months (not 18 months+ at all) only if club sites are able to open on 1st July.

If nothing else, the retrospectively applied expiry date is a little mean spirited. December 2022 would have been more reasonable, giving folk 2 whole summers (hopefully) to redeem their vouchers.

I agree the likelihood of all sites being open any time soon greatly reduces the time and choice left to use the vouchers. Those who've bought date stamped vouchers could be seriously disadvantaged.

The club will probably have to make a further announcement which would not have needed with the original offer.

Personally I think the club have shot themselves in the foot. I won't be buying any now and several members in a similar age group / state of retirement have indicated the same. Even less likely one might think, that those who are working and don't know if they will have a job, let alone holiday, are going to commit to such a time limited offer.

Of course perhaps that is the point, rather than just saying they are no longer available.🤔

I haven’t / won’t be buying vouchers (too poor), but for those of you who can’t find the answer it’s here - FAQs re vouchers.

Which suggests that someone perhaps read CT and realised there’d been yet another, shall we say, 'hiccup'.

Why are they "slipping it in"? Why no announcement?

I know this may be hard to believe but not all members read CT. Shocking I know but it is what it is. So there may well be Club Members out there who will be buying these on the belief that No expiry date still exists. Why not put it on the front of the website?

What are they doing about giving Change as this was an original T&C?Will they also honour that?

    A(nother) PR disaster.

With the dates issue on the vouchers, the Club had posted the reason on Facebook from Poolsbrook Club site.(This was the title)Now I am not a great Facebook user or understander but why would the Club explain it on that platform but not on here.

I think it’s because on here Fozzie whenever feedback is given the feedback giver & the C&MC generally are verbally abused. Recently an explanation was given re IT issues, within seconds the abusers were posting with their oft trotted out attacks🤷🏻‍♂️. Considering it seems to be C&MC policy not to defend themselves to the ‘baying crowd’ it goes on & on☹️

I don't think Chelsie can answer on here, but you can read the terms and conditions on line.

I believe the minimum spend is £100, the maximum £2000

Ordered ours on the 24th April & got them yesterday. We ordered them because there was no expiry date cannot see an expiry on vouchers or paperwork that came with them. Would they have a expiry date on the vouchers?.

Ordered £1000 of these on the 3rd May based on the basis that they had no expiry date. We would normally spend £800 - £1,000 per year with the club. Given the current situation though I’m rather concerned that if everything isn’t up and running for this summer we won’t have time to use them. Yes, I did check the T&C’s, went away to deliberate as to how much to spend before making the purchase a few days later, during which time the club apparently changed these. Legal? Probably, it’s a bit of a dirty trick though isn’t it!

I would tend to agree. I was also going to buy some, because they were valid indefinitely. We received an email advertising them on the 1st May.  I probably wouldn't have looked at it as I had already checked up on the offer. OH did however, and conversation went:-

OH. I thought you said those vouchers had no expiry.

    Me. They don't.

OH. Well it says here (in small print at the bottom) they are only valid to the 31/12/21.

I had a look and sure enough that was the case. So we decided not to buy any.

Otherwise I would probably have been caught like yourself.☹️

The change to terms and conditions seems very poor to me. Rather than in the small print Steve an honest broker would have made it clearer/more evident in the offer.

I thought the Caravan and Motorhome Club prides itself on treating everyone equally, all one big family?, my opinion is there should be no expiry date on the vouchers, however what is even less acceptable is that some members have vouchers that have no time limit and others have vouchers that expire 31st Dec. 2021, thats not equality.

Please don't grumble on here in these difficult times. If you are not happy with your vouchers just send them back.

I'm not sure why a member should not express there dissatisfaction, even in these difficult times.

On the order page it says:-

    Returns

Please note we are unable to accept returns of UK Club site vouchers.
