For shopping, many shops will only allow one person per trolley, so if you are less at risk then you go.

My OH is several years younger than me, and apparently females are less at risk, so she does the shopping.  Sometimes I will go along to drive and lift heavy bags, otherwise she goes alone.

    By who?

Back in the day (last winter) thousands of Brits over winter in Spain on those sites that you can pitch how you like, many only a few feet apart. The majority of those without onboard tanks use the bbq point to connect a Spanish bottle. Never seen or heard of a dangerous occurrence.surprised

I would not be trusted to buy the correct things anyway!

Sounds a bit like the way on line shopping works ,with the "similar?" item ,in the delivery if the item you ordered is "out of stock"frown

In this case it isn't so it would not be an essential journey!

Also mickysf was posting about a hypothetical situation.

Our DIL likes shopping, but hates food shopping.  They have had a weekly Tesco delivery pretty much since Tesco started delivering, but it is our son who has to do the ordering and check what they need, she takes nothing to do with it.  If they need to top up locally, he has to drive to the shop.

He also does pretty much all the cooking.

I do often go out with OH when we need shopping, and we do discuss things sometimes,  but she seems to prefer being left to choose things herself.
My record is not great, she sent me for Tartare Sauce once, I could not find any so decided to get Horseradish instead, 2 jars even.  It was not a popular substitution!!

The caravan club don’t recommend it.And if I am correct don’t allow it. Do you allow it on the CMC sites that you look after.

Despite your latest post and whether or not you consider the trip to obtain LPG for a fixed tank as essential, currently it is not  necessary and the motor caravan is not his only abode.

Whether or not mickysf wishes to do so  in case he is later in a situation where self-isolation is necessary is up to him but he has stated that he is "not keen" on driving a motorhome on a round trip of 80 miles to fill up with gas.

Indeed he has stated that he is "just not comfortable" driving it at the moment.

He had already posted he was not keen on driving the van  before your suggestion and  then stated that he was uncomfortable doing so within minutes of your post.

Can't you accept that your suggestion is not valid? Some may even say that it shows an irresponsible attitude in the present circumstances.

I don't recall asking a thing about how far to fill, or even filling at all.
