Thetford electric flush not working

Nothing happens when button pressed any ideas please .

    Further  than  that  is  hard  to  say,  not  knowing  what  your toilet  is  fitted  in.

    Either the pump itself us goosed, or its fuse might have popped. My previous caravan had a fuse in the cassette compartment though just looked in my current caravan & no sign of one 😞

    Put the 12v light on in the washroom. If the light dims when you press the flush button then the pump is jammed/seized. 

    If not possibly inline fuse at back of cassette compartment, corrosion in the little printed  circuit under the push button or poor wiring connection

    Just looked for a fuse in the cassette comp't of mine ..... there isn't one 😞

    Might share a fuse in the fuse panel with something else perhaps?

    As above though if 12v washroom light dims when when button is pushed pump is jammed.

    Many thanks will try all suggestions when I get back home main fuse is ok.

    It happened to me once, turned out to be a loose/corroded connection in the cassette compartment.

    Or it might be damp in the connectors.  To fix, peel off the cover by the button press and spray the PCB with WD40 contact cleaner.  Let us know how you get on.

    I have had the fuse go but also the pump. On the Thetford model that I had it was fairly simple to fit a new pump but I needed heat shrink sleeving on the connections as they were immersed in water.

    Thanks all got back home today did as said took pump out it was ceased,freed it with wd40 put it back put Some water and bio gel in tank and everything now ok took about 5 minutes.

    Bio liquid is very good at clearing any black slime, which can accumulate in the header tank, usually caused by the pink additive. I suggest you don't use Bio in the dissolvable pods.

    It sounds to me like a fuse.  I certainly think I'd investigate this first before looking further.

    Thetford electric toilet fuse blows as soon as it's  replaced,  any ideas would be gratefully received

    Hi Daveandwendy , have experienced same problem in the past had to contact a local mobile caravan engineer who replaced circuit board and pump ,{ short circuit in board and jammed pump } hope this helps,

    If all of the quick and easy suggestions above fail, then it’s almost certainly a defective switch board. Sadly, you need to carefully peel off the adhesive cover over the switch, to access it. After which all is simple. For generations, Thetford have left their switches unprotected from damp in the top of the unit, leaving failures unsurprisingly common.
