Time for Automated Site Check In?

I went to a meeting a couple of years ago, that involved ANPR cameras ,and as we were advised, that it is only those used for bus lanes and bus access or prosecutions ,that are calibrated, ,other types and locations they are installed in cannot be relied on for a correct reading , we have found that out at two of our local supermarkets where a timed limit for parking is in place

The ANPR system is not absolutely neccesary of coarse. If the Site Warden knows your Reg No (assuming they have a view of the car's Reg plate iether directly or via CCTV, they can open the barrier. This system requires a Warden to be present at the desk at permitted arrival times.
Now what is not to like about
1 Book in with Reg No and pay on phone or use web site and pay in advance or at the latest, the day before arrival.
2 Roll up and have the barrier lifted by the Warden.
3 Find a pitch and tell the warden the pitch number (just like it used to be).

Wouldn't outsourcing to such a company cost a lot of money?
Companies usually only outsouce because it is the most cost effective solution. The Club is already doing it with third party envolvement in the web site and the use of "Anytime Booking"

In future I'll inspect each and every individual word before I press enter .... I thought the general message of my post was pretty obvious. Most people have little to do with the wardens after they've paid & pitched up.
I wasn't really asking a question ... it was rhetorical

Yes we are comparing like for like it is just a way of gaining access, this company have now added a pre booking for all their sites for the last couple of years which is very useful for their July/August honeypot sites.
SORRY COULDN'T RESIST
This system works really well and is user friendly and i don't think the outlay would trouble the CAMC

But the difference between outsourcing due to regulatory issues and the examples I quoted is one is of necessity, unless you train wardens in the skills, which is equally expensive and would only add to the wardens workload. The examples I quoted could be done in house but the Club I assume finds it more advantageous/cost effective to outsource. If it is not cost effective then the Club isn't running the bussiness effectively.
Regardless of whether outsourceing is due to regulation or not it should always be cost effective to do so.

Jus to add to the this thread this morning a popped in into my local council and they had these new testing machines they hold to your forehead to check your temperature, if the CAMC bring in automated or any other different check in at these strange times will it also bring in health checks like these at the barrier before letting you in, can you imagine someone driving two hours for a weekend away to be turned away at the gate IRATE.
It surely must think about this at this as a way of safe guarding its staff, first with new ways of gaining access without contact and make sure people on site are not a danger to staff or other members.
Take it from someone who works winters and has inconsiderate members coughing and sneezing over me when serving them and i always ends up with something each year and still not sure that this February didn't contact COVID 19.

Work has installed a thermal imaging camera at the entrance turnstile, you scan your 'clock card', the camera takes your temp and if you're within temp limits it opens the turnstile ..... if not you get another go in half hour after sitting in occupational health. If you fail again you go home!

not just CAMC that are going to have to adopt something along these lines, but just about every business that has contact with the public, and as MM says, in the work place.
South Korea deployed thermal cameras in public places such as restaurants, bars, clubs, air ports, public transport, if you were found to be over, you were immediately tested and sent home to self isolate, and they have a great tracking and tracing system using mobile phones, unfortunately we are way behind the curve when it comes to virtually all these things, and already civil rights groups are complaining re loss of privacy etc, again in South Korea, there are no if buts maybe's, you just do it.

Take your pick JVB. Do you prefer South Korea's 252 deaths or our 28,000 ?
