On the theme of churches. Where is this one which has a claim to fame. Virtually impossible to get there with a MH though.

Does anyone recognise this very famous football stadium? We were there for a match last November, doubt if there will be much action there again for a while...
Edit, photo hasn’t loaded very well at all, sorry.

why would my wife and i be meeting these two (and a few of their mates) at the Royal Garden Hotel on a summers day just over 3 and a half years ago before decamping 'down the road' (where they did some pretty inspiring 'work') for dinner?
i also had a DJ on as i took the photo...

Chasncath, I hadn't although there were a couple of cruising yachts there. I'm intrigued to know what your search parameters were but don't wish to encourage further cheating.

of course, JR, a real easy one.
i remember vividly watching the final (in fact, the whole tournament) and we were really privileged to be invited to the 66W celebrations where we stayed with the players at the RGH, which was their 'lucky' hotel....
they stayed there before beating Germany the next day.
we then had 'the run' of an empty Wembley Stadium before Champers (or sherry) and dinner with some of the surviving members.
my wife was given a signed pair of Gordon's gloves and a replica Jules Rimet from Peter Lorenzo, who is hosting the 'reminiscing' in this photo with some of the team.

Wow, it shows what a massive effect it must have been on the country to still be important to folk over 50 years later, folk paying to be in the same room as a few of the WCW from back then.

perhaps you were too young to have been a part of it at the time?
yes, it did have a massive (uplifting) effect on the population.
yes, it was worth celebrating such a milestone 50 years later.
yes, it was a privilege to meet some of the team.
no, i didnt pay....i was invited to attend.

Did the WCW group attend as a charitable offer on their part?, ex sports folk usually do these gigs as a Money earner🤷🏻♂️

i really dont know, Rocky, why dont you ask them...while theres still a few left
you seem (in both your above posts) determined to make this sound like it was something sinister.
merely a photo of a joyous occassion (for those interested) placed in a thread thats supposed to lift the spirits in these difficult times.
sorry if it touched some sort of nerve with you

A writer's home and hut? Anyone know the name and place?

On the contrary(not everything is a conspiracy) I’ve been to many included was a meal-it weren’t cheap either but well worth it👍🏻. I was interested in the context as opposed to-‘here’s a pic’. Ok I’ll drop the interest. No worries👍🏻
