Our abiding memory of Mull is our old estate car, containing five of us and a dog, breaking down in the ferry queue in Oban, Thanks to us no-one could get on or off the ferry, OH did a "running" repair lying on the floor and burnt his hands in the process....we all enjoyed Mull, I'm not so sure he did!  wink

"am surprised you don't know much about Portsmouth, are you not interested in Naval history?"

Ooh no, not me, a bit too "niche" I'm afraid. But up in the loft with all my running memorabilia is my favourite souvenir of Portsmouth - my Great South Run number circa 1980, signed by none other than Frank Bruno (I had to elbow my way past several young children to get to him as well! laughing)

You've  not lived if you've not done a "Blue Boat Trip" around Pompey. 😉

Last time went there we got a ferry from Gosport to Pompey (easier parking) then stood in the sun and looked at HMS Warrior from the pontoon platform. Then wondered why Molly was dancing ..... 🤔 Poor dog was dancing cos the metal pontoon was hot 😲 so we quickly ran to where it was cool.

I'm sat in me van typing this looking out at the sea, oh to be able to jump inwink

I'd really love to get back to Spain and the RV. undecided

Then again I'd just like to have the site open and enjoy the sights and sounds a busy site brings. I'd like to get the tools out and cut some hedges and grass and tidy up but no.yell

First stop would be my sisters.  After that I Would be quite happy to get in the van and drive to a pretty car park for an hour, reading and listening to the birds.  Having spent the last 4 weeks at home, avoiding shops, not seeing any family I’m easily pleased.

One things certain though, I won’t be going to the pub or eating in crowded restaurants for the rest of this year.

Would like to go further afield then our Easter caravan stay. A little one van site, hard standing, electric hookup, view of grass and a pond. With exclusive use of in house facilities.  Called Backgarden.  Already booked for a few more days away in van.  The neighbours think we are nuts. Lol.

I’m still hoping against hope for my summer break down on the little piece of heaven that is a Higher Bochym Farm on the Lizard in Cornwall.

We are all probably mad. Obviously the neighbours do not have a van or MH otherwise they would also be mad and would understand smile
