BB,
Is the white car a 'special'? I was thinking it might be a Kyle Walker Escort ... Naughty, but topical

yes, its the CV147 which runs westwards out of the back of Benicassim up into the Desert des Palmes national park, along the range and then back down near Castellon de la Plana...
its a bit of a rite of passage for locals of all ages...
i generally pass the locals going up (but prefer to chat with them, but they often dont have spare breath, lol) but they come down the other side like lunatics...thankfully, the road surface is like a billiard table...
one guy i met (in his 60s) said he had done it over 1500 times.....
he was on his 2nd circuit that day...

Photo from before Covid-19? How far back are we allowed to go? Cath is sorting through old photos ( and chucking out a lot!). Here we are in Berlin in 1983 on a taxpayer funded visit to Berlin. We went through Checkpoint Chas to the Russian Sector but didn't take a camera!

it was a 1971 Ford Escort Twin Cam, built to win the WRC, a smaller, lighter, faster Cortina Lotus.
Lotus twin cam engine, twin webbers about 110 bhp.....soo much power....about the same torque as my ebike, lol.....
i bought it from a local rallyer, needed servicing every half an hour, absolute nightmare.....spat out small end bearings for a pastime, got to know my way around it PDQ.
i bought it for £900 in 1972/3 and eventually gave up on it and traded it in for an easy to maintain Capri GT XLR.
only 1263 were made and a few years ago these little 'gems' were fetching £60k....average price now around £43k....hmmmmm.

My photo seems to have disconnected, but I'm sure that you'll find that people were dancing au desous the bridge! It seems to be a subject of disagreement sur or sous. Try googling itThis was taken in our first outing to France in our motorhome in 2004! Still got the same one.

Paid my respects at Innominate Tarn too, where Pillar and Gable keep unfailing watch.

Hi David, yes that's the one. The bridge is over the river Inn.
Was intended as a one night stop en route to the Reisa pass and Italy but stayed 4 days and really enjoyed the site and area the highlight being a drive up the Kaunertal Glacier.

On Shetland, waiting for the ferry to Unst and the most northerly part of the UK, the walk to see Muckle Flugga. We didn't get there, caught out by a sudden storm we had the wrong clothes on and had to head back to the van. Rugged and remote I'd like to go back and do the walk again.

Being confined to barracks does enable catching up on 'must get around to' jobs. I've finally edited my footage from our 2018 trip round Britanny. If you fancy 21 days in as many minutes try this:-
Probably unlikely to qualify for a BAFTA though.
