Fair consideration to members
As a relatively new member. Given I joined to gain access to the members only sites (and discounts on the rest),I would, therefore, court credence in the club considering a partial fee reduction or an extension to the current membership duration due to the current situation. I didn't join for the magazines or the other perceived 'fringe' benefits, solely for access to the sites. I absolutely condone all the sites shutting (maybe should have been earlier?).
As of last week, I am currently without income, as such, I may not be in a position to renew the subs later in the year..?
Will the club committee consider a timely and considered gesture to members?
Stay safe indoors folks.........

Who should pay the ongoing maintenance costs? Any rebate now will surely reflect in increased site fees in future years.

Is this the only club you pay membership fees to? How far will £13 .50 as that is what in could be, less magazine cost ,if as hoped , the sites can reopen in july, staff are still on sites to keep them "warm"for a fast reopen when possible

I’m surprised you started another thread, Sparky, when you have already read 'Membership Subscription Refund' and seen that it has been locked because it is a duplication of others.
However, good luck for the future.

My golf club is giving a rebate for the time that they are closed. My wife’s health club are suspending membership.

Not a newly invented word; 'furloughed' is another odious Americanism, like 'Called out', instead of 'challenged' and 'reached out' instead of 'contacted'... and 'negative patient output' [printed in the Financial Times around 1979] instead of 'deceased patient'.

Not site specific but you of all people, MM, will understand that assets such as buildings need maintenance all year round whether in use or not.
It is year round income that foots the bill and that will be lacking this year.

Caravan club staff are also still working to assist others who are in difficulties trying to return to the UK etc. If we all get a refund who would pay them?
Do you expect a refund during the months when you don't use a site, such as December or January?
Your subscription is for 12 months regardless of how often you use sites.

There are winter wardens on some sites when the sites are shut.

And how do you know that ?
wardens are still working ,and keeping sites secure from all the low lifes
It is spring why leaf blowers
,grass still needs cutting it is the growing season,
hedges will need keeping tidy
weeds to keep clear
flowers to maintain as they will be growing in baskets etc as planted before shut down
boilers still going to keep facilities "warm"
and not all sites are empty of members
windows to clean and cobwebs at bay,
weeds to keep under control

I said "Who should pay the ongoing maintenance costs?". You assumed more than I said.

(newly invented word)
No it isn't and niether is it an odious American ism. The first 25 years of my working life with a British Company I was regularly placed on furlough, sometimes for as long as 4 months, until the next job came along. However I was paid a basic salary while on furlough.

Do you have Caravan Club written though you like a stick of Blackpool rock? 😏 There's not much going on at Burrs. There were no leaves at the very beginning of last year cos there were gale force winds .... but the leaf blower was definitely in use ALL day! Who's there to see grass & hedges that need cutting other than a small handful? And are facilities open to need heating? I don't know, but I doubt it.

With members on site, Full timers? then they have the Facilities open , as they are still paying the going rate,,and they still have to been cleaned to a standard rather than the times on the doors
And having been a member for over 50 years ,and having friends,(several) that have been or still are site staff and, have seen the other side of running sites ,that some members,, still think ,is an easy job to carry out ,whether the site has few or is full of members

I would hope that the wardens clean the toilets to the same standard no matter how many outfits are on site? One outfit or full should make no difference to how well they are cleaned, or are standards in proportion to the number on site?

sounds like maintenance still going on? Unless that is being done free it will cost, even if done free and unless the lawnmowers are pushed by hand there will be fuel costs?
