Gee, it’s talking about school meals and those who get them free of charge. Keep up at the back, you lot.😁

We have a niece looking after vulnerable children as well C, on a rota. She is Deputy Head at a school where a lot of the children rely heavily upon school for stability in their sad little lives, and for a decent meal.
Please ignore the goading, it isn’t worth it. Let’s stay friends👍

we have a lovely place to exercise "Gilkicker" used to be the control station for Pompey harbour, can still hear it now when we had just returned from 12 months away "gilkicker radio this is warship ********* do you read me over" Gilkicker radio...welcome home old man" i digress, now a wonderful open space including 18 hole golf course so was able to walk for miles without even coming close to another human, so lucky.

Just having a breather from pond TLC. Absolutely gorgeous here,I have to keep pinching myself to take in what’s happening elsewhere. Family in London in touch, Family elsewhere in touch, all doing what they should, keeping safe. 👍

All I was trying to do was to encourage people to use one of the lesser used areas of Club Together. It seems to me quite a few have a story to tell but reluctant to put it all together, hopefully with illustrations in the Story Section.

I am sure that as far as Club members are concerned they will know that all caravan sites in North Wales are now closed. What members may not know is that the North Wales Police have stated that all caravans and mobile homes travelling into their area will be stopped and turned back. A group of fly campers intending to camp by a reservoir this afternoon were apprehended and sent packing.
Keep safe everyone

Are you self isolating Peedee? If not, what about click and collect as an option? Might be a long queue though.

Trying hard to social distance TTDA. I was looking for slots either delivered or click and collect. There are none for the next three weeks. We hopefully have a delivery tomorrow and will be ok for a while. In the mean time I will keep looking for slots to meet our next requrement. Hopefully demand will tail off. Last resort is to go out for supplies.

Same here PD. Been trying, but nothing. Thankfully, both us and Mum are ok for food for a good while. Might need some fresh stuff, but I will time any visit sensibly. Aldi seems best round here in person. Well stocked, they have employed event security to assist staff. A quick in and out, gloved up and fully sanitised before and after might do it. But only if it appears very quiet. Small shops are quieter, often a source of little treasures! But strict measures at all times.

Arnt you lucky to have these services. Here in the outback we dont have those luxuries and rely on good neighbors. A couple were flown back from Cyprus on Friday- live in Manchester. Have a second home here on a cabin site with mostly retired all year round retirees. and came straight there. No quarantine. They are upset because the local surgery refused to take them on. Why would someone come to a place where the nearest hospital- Aberystwyth 35 miles or Wrexham 50 miles.Surely Manchester would give a better service if but most probably when they come ill. Not taking into account their selfishness in putting addition burden on what is a small rural medial service.

Yes I hope you are ok as well Fish. Will be a long trek no doubt to get food for you. Hope your local shops are putting you first. I agree about the couple returning from Cyprus. They haven’t thought things through well, only for themselves.

We have Waitrose slots for delivery on 6th and 14th April but now their future slots are locked and have been for a few days. I am not sure how long in advance they allow you to book a slot as the 14th April one was booked about a month in advance. I have also tried Morrisons with no luck. Every time we go in to amend the future orders we usually find a list of items no longer available. We tend to buy a lot of Waitrose own brand lines and it seems to be these which are going out of stock, obviously their suppliers are got geared up to meet anywhere near the current demand.

what 'quarantine'?
there is no Gov directive that i can find referring to folk doing any different when returning from Europe...
surely those passing through UK customs at ports (or airports) as we did would have been given very firm instructions. everyone was spoken to (and van storage checked for 'guests') but no advice/instruction due to returning from 'an infected country'....
surely, anyone who goes outside their house in the UK and comes back inside is 'returning from an infected country'.
the UK has 'isolation' rules for those with symptoms...and household members in case they get infected....
folk without symptoms (returning from the supermarket or Cyprus or Spain or...) are currently treated equally, arent they?
"if, but most likely when, they get ill"....and why would this be any more likely than you or i if we all follow the current guidance?
i can see the 'annoyance' of someone visiting their second home, and i can sympathise with the potential impact on 'local level of services' but as they came directly there and made just the single trip they didnt do an unnecessary journey.

I can actually see your point of view with some ,"escaping" to their second homes,, if as been pointed out many times , that second homes in some areas have destroyed the village by being "empty" for months at a time ,but are now complaining that they are occupied,,

i didnt say i needed common sense...we are isolating the same way that others are...
do you go into quarantine for 14 days after your outdoor exercise?
after all, the UK is an infected area, so why no different?
what im pointing out is that several posters have referred to those returning from europe to be 'quarantined'....there is no current specific instruction that i can find to support this...
if someone has a link that would be good....
in the meantime, im doing what is being related....and using common sense...
im sure if the Govt felt it was 'common sense' for travellers (or uk all uk residents) to go into quarantine that would soon get ramped up into a directive...

Meanwhile, at the other end of the wealth scale, the Guardian is reporting that hundreds of homeless families, placed in Travelodge Budget Hotels by local authorities, have been evicted at 2 hours or so notice, citing the 'Government instructions on Social Distancing', despite the Government indicating to hotels that those providing accommodation to Homeless Families should not close. Housing Officers are tearing their hair out, and I think that Social Distancing has gine by the board with all the charging around that's going on trying to find accommodation and scoop up the evictees ...
The irony is, the static caravan parks that some local authorities such as Northampton use are all closed because of the coronavirus threat and other properties, owned by expats who [typically] spend 10 months in Spain and which are let to local authorities for short term accommodation for Homeless Families, are no longer available, because of the need for the owners to leave Spain ...
It seems that we may have reached the FreeCell Card Game equivalent of the message 'Sorry, there are no more moves available', but there does not appear to be an option to 'Undo Last Move'.
It's tragic on just about every level ...

I have been in virtual lock down for 10 days because I realise I'm in a minor vulnerable category. We can isolate our garden so no problem with other contact. I have been out for isolated walks on 2 occasions and take sensible precautions. The government advise is coming in quickly, 6 e-mails this morning from the the you gov site (just register)
If you look at the U-Tube clip on the Portugal thread the Motor Homer had registered including the country he was in and has received plenty of government advice.
