Thanks, Ro. What a shame it took so long for the club to do the sensible thing. Be aware that I don't hold you personally responsible for the earlier misleading and erroneous information posted. You were no doubt told what to say.

Making a video and distributing it less than 48hrs ago.

Not really think things through were they? Still, correct decision made in the end, now the other Club ought to follow suite.

I have little doubt that the images from around the country showing the public congregating in UK tourists areas changed the situation markedly and that the cli=ub was simply following developments. The way that the British public have flocked to resort destinations put the hat on it. The Snowdonia Country Park claimed to have had one of its busiest Saturdays on record

I would live in hope David that those people who live in their vans will have made contingency plans for all these types of unexpected life events especially if they are taken I'll or affected by site closures.

No we are one of the above ,

like I said staff are being very caring to the situation , but no answers as yet ,

it really is a very stressful time for all concerned , but can they really turn long timers away with no homes to go to

stopping new arrivals yes asking those on hols to go home because they have one yes , but where does that leave us ,

very tough, but as you can only stay on club sites for 3 weeks you must have possibly commercial sites that you have used that may be sympathetic to your cause, it is going to be difficult i would have thought for the club to make exceptions, maybe store your LV somewhere and rent a cottage or airbnb, not what you want to do but we all have now to make tough decisions. good luck stay safe.

In all fairness brue the situation now covid 19 was not in anyone's mind to think about making contingency plans , some may have family's they can go to some haven't , as in other issues that might have arisen , the CC has many sites CL 's and AF 's so moving or finding another site would have not been to difficult ,

    Hi folks,

To make things easier all round, it would be good if we could keep our discussion of coronavirus and sites to the thread on the link below.  That way we will all avoid a lot of duplication, and we can all easily see the views of others.  With that in mind, I think I will closew this tread now.

For continued discussion, please go to:

    Keep well and stay safe,

    David
